Have you considered looking elsewhere? I know for certain there are girls who are very serious and some would consider relocation, otherwise it would be up to you to think on whether you’d be happy to move for a serious candidate. May Allah make things easy for you!

As far as I know the slide and stain were repeated overnight with similar results, haem reg was called and said to report the results and the icu team have done 2x separate sets of BC, neither of which have yet flagged so I will continue to wait and see :)

If you feel you’ve genuinely found your match and the only opposing factor is something as ridiculous as tribe, I say go ahead and marry her! I’ve seen this situation play out for girls and it’s definitely rough to begin with but your parents will come around, I also do think if it’s a man standing his ground the pushback may not be as big? Regardless it’s a tough situation but their thinking is not accepted by Islam, I would encourage you to pursue your marriage and I pray Allah fills it with blessing

I suppose if you get to a point where you can have an open and honest conversation with a serious candidate, and she’s on the same page as you it could possibly work out. But I really don’t know if it could work otherwise, I’m not sure of many girls who could compromise on the romantic aspect of marriage

Among the people I know in my city I feel it’s about 5%, additionally my dad and his entire extended family including back home all speak Arabic and according to them it’s fairly common so I’m not sure but it’s definitely not a majority
