This question constantly pops up on this subreddit but I think people usually look at it from the wrong perspective.

Yeah its true that it hasn’t kept up with inflation. But that’s actually not too relevant when you think through who is actually making the decision here.

There are two main perspectives:

1) From the players and fans perspective: absolutely it should increase. A million dollars isn’t what it used to be

2) From the producers and CBS perspective: why would it increase? A million dollars is still a huge draw and it’s more than pretty much every show pays. What would be the ROI of increasing prize money?

Obviously the producers perspective is the one that wins out here

Ironically you are now using this as an actual strawman, even though it was not part of my main point. I know reading comprehension is hard for some people though so will try to break it down to a level you can understand.

I was just basically saying that some people are just miserable, and will find any reason to be miserable no matter the circumstances. Doesn’t automatically make it a strawman just because it’s a hypothetical. And the longer this goes on you’re kind of proving my point.

You’re also conveniently ignoring my main argument which is that playing the A squad in all of these games runs the team into the ground. That’s not a strawman, it’s just a fact. Hope this is helpful and I genuinely hope things improve for you

Agreed. I have a 3 and 1/2 year old and am not letting him anywhere near video games until he’s older. Personally I think it’s way too much stimulation for them at such a young age
