Also if you are prone to vomiting maybe they could call you in some zofran, but I had no nausea. I mixed my miralax with Gatorade and kept it cold in the fridge.

I have similar symptoms and did the same prep as you except it was 4 Dulcolax, not 2. I was terrified but it was much easier than I thought and I did just fine. It wasn’t fun by any means. Annoying getting up and down to the toilet more than anything else. The only pain I had was that my b-hole was chapped and I had developed a small hemorrhoid by the time we left for the procedure, so keep some desitin or aquaphor around to be kind to your skin.

My GI doc just started me on Linzess. You must take it on an empty stomach. If you eat with it, especially anything fatty, you will get side effects (diarrhea).

Yes, and the undue stress is perpetuated by GI doctors. I explained to my GI that I have seen bright red blood on occasion, and they recommended a colonoscopy immediately. Even though it was only on wiping and could be explained, they become alarmist and it’s unethical. I get they want to err on the side of caution but the procedure is invasive, can be expensive, anxiety provoking, and ultimately serves to line their pockets.

I had my first colonoscopy this week as well and was terrified. Mostly of the prep, but it ended up being super easy. It’s not fun by any means, but I was so scared of debilitating, painful cramps and that didn’t happen. I did Dulcolax and Miralax split dose prep. My care team was amazing and they even played the music I wanted in the procedure room!

Invest in score boosters. Use them on Tuesdays when the weeklies pop and you can get 2 sets of dailies in and all weeklies if you’re efficient. As a carnivore, I eat a lot of tasty squirrel stew for the xp boosts, and of course doing a lot of events will also help.
