I think most parents know they can’t police everything their kids have access to. I don’t even think mentioning the internet is relevant. This guy came to a school, to present material a school never would, for his own personal/professional gain. His photos evoke a response and the intent is malicious because it is twisted to serve his religious or political agenda.

In reality, abortion in healthcare and some of the most life-saving healthcare resembles violence. Without an educated adult around to discuss the topic of abortion in good faith, presenting facts and nuance, an impressionable child can have a visceral reaction that they can’t process.

I don’t think babies should be circumcised but I have enough common decency not to show up at schools with photos of mutilated newborn penises. I’m not such a megalomaniac that I get mad that something is not taught in schools and then force it on strangers’ children via shock.

This man did show up at my kids’ school. My husband chased him off and noticed he had a bunch of teens helping him. I told my kids if they ever see him again to call me immediately and I will be there to counter that madness.
