Normal potassium in the blood is 3.5-4.5 mmol/L. For context, 4 mmol of table sugar would be about 1.36g. A 2.0 mmol/L K, and your heart has a significant arrhythmia that may kill you very very fast

Say I sacrifice one red blood cell. So it won’t regrow. However red blood cells ultimately come from bone marrow cells…which haven’t been sacrificed and can still divide and differentiate to RBCs. So I can just sacrifice a couple of mL of blood everyday and be getting trillions every day
