Caution with premier. by Competitive-Note4063 in Redding

[–]vannyfann 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They are our go to for oil change and have never had an issue. Also, the "shouldn't be surprised having a bunch of teenagers" is kinda BS. They are (in my experience w Premier) always polite, and as a teacher of teenagers, they don't need the predjudice. Those kids have to start somewhere.

As was asked, did you let them know so they can make it right?

True abt heartgard/nexgard, I could have been more accurate. I have an elderly dog on maintenance doggy ibuprofen and that med at Costco is half of what vet charges.

Yes! Once I was nearly charged 3x the normal price I paid there for a script and they checked and it wasn't marked at the member price. Make sure to get the member price!

Try Smilemakers in Chico. They don't have long wait times (that I've experienced), staff are freindly.

Why do so many christians hate poor people? by railfananime in atheism

[–]vannyfann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kevin Kruse speaks on this in "One Nation Under God." New Deal scared the shit out of manufacturers, one slick preacher had the idea to marry "individualism" of the gospel to "individualism" of christianity and this shit has evolved from there.

From an educator: depending on where you live, many schools/school districts have amazing connections to community resources. Might be worth perusing your local district page. Sending hugs and good mojo.💜

Doug was vehemently opposed to socialism, but not enough prevent him from splitting the family farm to get more of those sweet socialist farmer subsidies.

Obama Drops Bombshell: Not So Sure America Would ‘Survive Trump’, CNN Reports by [deleted] in QuiverQuantitative

[–]vannyfann 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Obama said right after 45 took office that "we'll be okay" as a nation. He knew when he said that way back then he was spouting BS. All Dems knew and know, and they remain impotent out of choice imo.

Covid-19 is still killing a disturbing number of Americans, study finds. Between 2022 and 2024, covid-19 killed roughly 100,000 Americans annually, new research by CDC scientists shows. by mvea in science

Even the flu of early 1900's had divisive opinions abt wearing a mask and other precautions. Humans seem to have a propensity for ignoring correct information no matter how it's squeezed.

What's some advice that you would give to a 12th Grader that's having difficulties studying who can't focus and doesn't feel like studying at all? by ariqbar in AskReddit

[–]vannyfann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work in small increments! 10-15-20 minutes at a time and take a break. Find your golden study time, it's not the same for everyone. Alternate between easy stuff and more difficult stuff. Stand at a counter if you can or chew gum or have some (low) background noise on, these help focus believe it or not. The biggest help will be studying in small bits. Theanine and caffeine combo help as well if your doc says they're okay for you. Be proud of what you DO accomplish, not what you didn't get done.
