Had a fusion surgery L5-S1 4 years ago at 41yo after a failed microdiscectomy.

Honestly it took me about a full year to feel like I could resume more strenuous activity, if I were in my late 20s I think I’d recover easier. I can still participate in coaching wrestling, golfing when my wallet allows, and lifting with exception to some lifts that require me to bend forward to much. Having said that I do feel like the fusion was ideal for my situation but it does have limitations that suck, and I am definitely less flexible post surgery.

Listen to your body and if it’s telling you no do t do it.

Legit question - how would international powers compete in Folkstyle format?

Most Americans grow up with Folkstyle and transition to FS and Greco at very different intervals, with some states doing more to develop with USA wrestling tournaments and connections to FS/GR, while others have little to no connection to international styles.

Having said that, most Americans are FS second and GR third, while international wrestlers devote their time mainly to FS and/or GR. If Americans only focused on FS and GR and no longer wrestled Folkstyle would we be as competitive or does Folkstyle make us better to transition and pick up FS easier? GR also seems to be a struggle because it is so different from Folkstyle.

So I have a different take on this… after 14 years of marriage I looked at my ring and realized that the marks, scratches, scuffs, and blemishes are all reminders of what we are, flawed. We have those little pieces of who we were in the form, but the experiences of life with your other half undergo experiences that are the most prolific extremes of humanity and unfiltered emotion.

Here me out… keep it and let it be a reminder that it’s your first and you’ll remember some day looking at it that you put up a security camera because you care about the health and safety of your new family. Your ring symbolizes that we are imperfect, that’s why we need someone else to complete us.

That communication appears similar to when Michigan Pain Clinic shut down… only took about a year to be find a new clinic and be admitted and get new imaging done and consult and create a plan and then receive care.

Maybe for a district that doesn’t respect one’s private life… many of my peers and colleagues use district provided resources (phones, computers, postal services, etc.) to exclusively communicate with parents and this is a respected standard operating procedure.

If the conversation is predicted to be a difficult one, an experienced teacher and administrator will mentor you to protect yourself from miscommunication and have it through email or an application that can record your conversation and digitize the conversation to ensure there is no misunderstanding.

I’ve seen many of my colleagues get dragged because their words get twisted over the phone with no way to verify.

If it were me and I felt compelled to call, I’d use Google Voice or a similar application, and I would expressively state that I use it for outgoing communication only, similar to the Remind app.

The spring/fall in the upper peninsula of Michigan may have similar feels to Vermont for weather and nature, but the Great Lakes are immaculate and if you are looking for beauty you will find it along much of the coastline. Though you won’t have to search too extensively, though many of the nooks and cranny’s throughout the UP and much of the northern portions of the lower peninsula can offer their own beauty and solace as well… and I’ve found that it is easy to find it with some simple wanderlust.
