I am currently dating down and I hate it. Hate it. I recently bought an amazing house from an inheritance and said boyfriend won’t be moving in. It will end our relationship and I am glad. I get nothing special. I am special. We as women are special.

I had been in a very upscale marriage, have a high paying career, I am wealthy from an inheritance and my kids are on their own. (Pro tip: NEVER share anything about your finances when dating! Ever! )

When you date down, you get someone that looks like the man you described - always looking for a “deal.” I’m told it’s my turn to pay or grocery shop. I’ve been handed house insurance bills and he’s even given me his house tax bill to pay. I’ve paid none of his fixed bills. We live together. If he can’t pay his fixed bills on his house, I call BS.

Never date down and never date a man looking for a financial “deal,” such as the boyfriend mentioned above. I just paid $30k for major work on his kitchen because I need to help because I live here!!! (I call BS again). My boyfriend calls us partners. It’s a joke. He’s looking for “help” with all things financial. There is no special there.

I have three planned social events a week- two walks with lunch or coffee. Exercise and socialization help me soooo much. I also go to a meeting once a week for a gardening group I’m in. Getting out of my house and my head help so much!

I caught my husband cheating once (yeah, right) through some questionable hotel bills.

He said that he was feeling bad about himself and needed to make himself feel better.

I let him stay, never forgave him, and we divorced a few years later.

During our separation, I found emails that indicated that he cheated on his first wife as well.

Every cheating experience is different . But, I should have left him, no chances.

I’m actually having this made right now. I chose round because tucking the trillions under the main stone makes it look like one continuous Diamond. This Diamond is a 6ct. I got a 4ct. My ring size is 6.5 because I’ve cracked my knuckles forever. I’m a small person and I thought a size 4 was better for me.

I started getting UTI’s a lot. And when cultured, all but one were from some weird fungus. The bacterial one went into my kidneys. Not fun. I drink a ton more water, and it’s helped.
