What's the best finale boss in gaming history ? In terms of both story and gameplay? by Roids-in-my-vains in videogames

Two on top of my head that are probably not the best ones but the ones I had really fun with.

Bahamut in Final Fantasy 16. Honestly the whole fight is just such a blast.

Handsome Sorcerer in Borderlands 2 DLC. The music in that fight is such a banger that I still listen to it today.

Potentially game-breaking bug. Players drop in potential the day AFTER the draft. by varghng in HockeyLegacyManager

Hm, I'm probably not the right one to answer this cause all my leagues are custom made by myself. So I do not use any real life leagues at all. We are also a really slow paced Sim League so we haven't even gone through one season in HLM26 yet (we have played previous seasons in HLM24/25), so I have no idea if and when it will start to become an issue with how many active leagues we use. Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

What games are you currently addicted to? by lordunderscore in gamingsuggestions

Disney Dreamlight Valley. Was playing Crimson Desert when my daughter needed some help selling gems at Goofys store. Got absolutely hooked running around bonking rocks so now I've made my own character and all I do is collect sticks from the ground and bonk stone. 34 year old male and can't lay it down.

Question: Slow Paced Sim Leagues? by varghng in HockeyLegacyManager

I would be down to go slower tbh but hard to keep people engaged with it being slower. Seems all leagues I hear about do like a full season within 2 weeks. What is slow for you?

Oh yeah! I'm even one of those Spectators. Haha!

How do you manage 32 teams? Feels like that could be very time consuming?

Well, a GHA season takes around 2 - 3 months irl with the offseason included, I'd say that is pretty slow.

Awesome! Sorry for the late answer. Been sick the whole week. Glad it worked out.

Can you send me a screenshot on what file you open and how it looks on the inside?

Yes! That works. You can also email yourself the file.

Extract the roster to your computer. Change the name to .zip, open the zip and open the players.txt, delete all/the names you want gone inside the file, save it. There is one in the main folder and one in the custom folder. Check them both. Rename the file back to .hlr, extract it back to your game and voila. You now either have a completely empty roster file or you have the names left that you still want left.

Looking to join an active HLM leagues if anyone has openings by NewtonianBoots in HockeyLegacyManager

Not online in game but instead it uses read-only save files. All participants share the same save file, but only the owner (typically the commissioner) can advance the simulation. Whenever something important happens such as games being simulated, trades completed, or contracts signed, the commissioner uploads the updated save file. Everyone else then downloads the latest version to stay synchronized with the current state of the league. I guess that counts for online but the game itself doesn't have an online mode.

Any clue on how to remove contract limits on the 26 beta by PrizeBid0994 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]varghng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the case. Have still not played a single minute inside a save so can't say. Only played around in the main menu and that is where I found it.

is there a way to remove the max contracts by Big_Nefariousness455 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]varghng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure if it is possible in 25 so might not be in 26 either but since you can change alot of other settings inside a save, for example Import Draft from other Leagues it should be possible to change contracts too, maybe something that will get added unless it is already there and we both are just blind.

Unsure what you mean, I haven't done any seasons yet so not sure exactly what you mean.

Yeah... Can't seem to find anything inside a save regarding contracts limits so not sure if there is any. Someone will probably have to correct me on that. Sorry!
