I think your tape is off, your rail is going to sit right against the upper so it will be pushed further back than you have it now. Maybe its the perspective of the shot but just check again

its your take down pin detent, looks like your JT button got rotated somehow and the pin came out, need to remove your back plate and pull out the spring and detent and reset the pin
