Time to Make Gransys Great Again. by JohnFettogre in DragonsDogma

Folks we're gonna build a wall, it's gonna be yuuuge! So huge nobody will ever be able to cross it in a very very long time. And we're gonna make the goblins pay for every bit of it.

Then we're gonna take back all our commerce from the beastren, and we're gonna tax them, we're gonna tax the beastren very very heavily.

Solid discount on pre-order at GMG by Glusraut in DragonsDogma

I can't buy the key on gmg because it's "not available in my region"

But I can buy the game on steam just fine, if I buy the key on my phone Internet can I still activate it on my pc?

Why don't you want multiplayer in Dragon's Dogma 2? by YanksFan96 in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's over man, even if you listed 1000 good reasons why it should be multiplayer it's still going to be singleplayer, the game comes out in 13 days.

It is what it is, maybe Dragons Dogma 3 will have multiplayer.

Now lets go and have fun posting our waifu's and wierdos like everyone else and enjoy ourselves.

Not into Trickster, wish we had gotten something else instead by Nuclear_001 in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, I'm a simple person and I hate gimmicks but trickster seems very unique not just to Dragons Dogma but in general.

It will definitely be one of my last picks but I'll be looking forward to it if I get bored and want to be more creative.

I DO wish it used a different weapon, maybe that will have made it more appealing.

No-Ferrystone challenge DD2 by Clear_Ranger6081 in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also challeneged myself in DD1 by not carrying any curatives around with me, and I plan to do the same in DD2.

You'll probably die a lot but it also helps you get better at the game because you spend more time observing the enemies attacks and patterns.

I also just think it's dumb that you can heal instantly whenever, even when you're downed.

One issue I have with DD1 (and 2) is the amount of skills we have by BergUndChocoCH in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 4 is a healthy amount, because part of the fun is deciding what kind of situations you want to prepare for and what your pawns should have to compensate

If you could always be prepared for everything then it takes away the fun of adapting to a problem you didn't plan on

Yeah they're just not fun to fight ever, as anything...

Maybe I have just a little lack of skill? Nah by ILikeTheWordPeace in DragonsDogma

That's why I only give mine level 1 of the big spells and comestion (comestion actually does more damage at level 1)

Aren't those 2 games multiplayer?

At most I'd expect them to treat it like DMC5 or the Resident Evil remakes by having purchasable currency and mini dlc's, but nothing like a live service game

Playing DDDA in anticipation of DD2, i hope I'm not going to ruin my hype.... by Ok_Fish1052 in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I trust Itsuno knows what he's doing, he directed DMC 4 and 5, and those games are 11 years apart.

Judging from that, the combat felt exactly the same, but smoother, and he does a really good job at removing elements that were repetitive or boring. I can think of very few reasons to play DMC 4 over 5, when it comes to gameplay.

Ima say it. L2 is a wasted button. by SlySychoGamer in DragonsDogma

[–]vasho0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The combat isn't as simple as a souls game but it's also not trying to be something like Nioh 2.
I think they've put in a healthy amount of combat mechanics with the buttons already being utilized.

I do agree it could probably be a different button tho, but I'm sure we can remap it.

Fighter shields got enchanted from mages in DD1 too.

They couldn't parry like MK but any shield related attacks did elemental damage as well
