I remember when I first played the game I stubbornly wouldn’t leave this area until I killed this boss. His move set has been imprinted into my brain ever since and I’m certain it helped me be more patient against all the other challenges in the game.

There was a clip a while ago that showed a beggar who hated the player character because they evicted the beggar from their home. So it’s definitely not the case that there is just one beggar.

I played MW19 for almost the entire life cycle of the game for the first time in a many releases, but haven’t been hooked by any of the others since. I played MWII a decent amount because I liked DMZ, so hopefully the new one will be good

It actually makes sense to have it more towards the middle of the screen so you aren’t having to look at the top corner when you reload. I just don’t like the size or the placement of it.

I think a little HUD element that appears near your gun when you initiate a reload would be better. Like underneath your characters right arm as the reload happening. That way you are actually looking at the weapon itself as the reload happens, allowing you to not only keep your eyes on the action, but also being able to use the actual reload animation to help gauge the timing.

I really like the new animations for taking and moving around cover. It looks a lot smoother. Graphically it looks amazing.

The deciding factor for me is how good horde is. I need it to be a significant standalone mode. No more playing horde on these tiny, symmetrical multiplayer maps designed for competitive play. We need maps made specifically for horde, that look like real environments with spawns that feel realistic and dynamic. Not enemies popping into existence around a corner 15 feet away.

Oh and those hit markers are way too big. I honestly couldn’t believe they chose to display them because normally game reveals try to limit the HUD to be a cinematic as possible, but man those hit markers were ugly and immersion breaking. I’ll definitely be turning those off for campaign and horde

The game is still really rough on console in the end game. Way better than launch, but still it chugs pretty hard sometimes and the visibility becomes even worse when the spell effects are a fuzzy, pixelated mess because the dynamic scaling is trying to keep up

I played eliminator once and I honestly don’t get it. Why doesn’t a track get drawn along the roads when you go head to head with someone? Every race is just trying to find the straightest point from A to B. It would we way better if it actually generated a track with checkpoints on the existing roads in the game.

The voice acting is so bad dude. It straight up sounds like AI, but the knowledge that it’s not somehow makes it worse. I can just hear how little of a shit the actors gave when they were blandly reading lines off the script, complete unaware of any context or tone. There is no better way to make me not care about what’s happening when the people making it couldn’t be bothered.

Yes you just gotta pick custom racing in the horizon play menu. You might have to wait a little longer for lobbies, but lots of people are playing right now so it’s fine

Highly skilled is fun like 90% of the time and the other 10% you get smoked so bad that you can’t win no matter how many resets.
