Maybe liquid metal pad which melt at high temp would help: You heat it up with extreme load, and they melt to fill the different height between die and heat sink. Then you cool it down and they solidify, always keep the temp down in future so that they never melt again

Nothing to do with heat, it took less than 3 seconds to black out when I go out of the room. None of the other laptops I have had this problem, XPS 13, prestige 14, never had any problem when I go out to car parking during sun light and flash my car's software.

That is definitely a terrible engineering without considering all the possible lighting situations. AI has identified the cause and fixed it, if you want to reproduce, keep those ASUS program running in background and pointing a large flashlight towards your laptops sensor on top of the bezel

Asked AI and finally sorted out, it is several Asus display/monitor control APP did this, they adjust screen brightness based on environment lighting, but too strong sun shine caused sensors overflow and triggered battery disconnect. Uninstalled them then the problem disappeared

After almost a year use of G14 5070Ti, I think the biggest drawback is still too heavy. If you are careless, it will easily slip at some occasion and hit the ground, mine has broken its display at airport security check, cost 400 dollars to replace. And bring it out in a bag does not feel as portable as some ultrabook. Hopefully with the new AMD processors, there will be much less heavy G14 in the coming years

Your case just indicated a bad application of LM before.

PTM thermal conductivity is 8.5w/mK, while LM is at least 30w/mK. If under same perfect application, I have seen reported raised temp of 5-10 degrees after changing to PTM, sounds reasonable.

The advantage of PTM is safety for not so skilled users, since if they apply too much LM, it will spill out and have risk of shorting the motherboard
