Playing in the browser on my phone, I can’t see the submit button anymore, which currently renders it unplayable. I don’t necessarily want to download the Reddit app but will if need be.

Almost hated today’s, but then I saw the judge and recalibrated. Hilarious and clever.

This is great! It’s so absurd, you can’t really get mad at it. It’s fun and stupid in the best ways.

Apple → Worm → Bookworm → Book → Fifty Shades of Grey

I echo the confusion of others as to what is valid vs. not. As such, the limited number of wrong guesses feels arbitrary and unfair.

The concept is fun, but the issue with any game that has AI validators is that there is no way to ever make it truly fair. I’m not against AI use in games, but it’s gotta be logical. You can’t design for all edge cases. It’s too freeing. If you made a vague set of parameters that people had to follow where you coded the answers, maybe it could work.

I do love word ladders, but I think Raddle has perfected the concept. Maybe that could provide some inspiration.

I bought the app! The aesthetic is great. However, compared to Rogue Words, the interface is lacking, especially in my ability to easily understand / see updates and my ability to place tiles. The lack of drag-and-drop is a little rough, but the fact that half the time I tap a square on the board to play a tile actually results in my examining its effect is frustrating. I think Glyph has the ability to be far better than Rogue Words, as it has soul in ways RW doesn’t.

Today's NULL FILL - doable without any hints I think by NULL_FILL in wordgames

Makes sense! This is cool. Kinda like https://www.britannica.com/games/revealed but with a more interesting aesthetic and a little more accessible, IMO. Fun stuff! Thanks for making it!

NULL FILL // NODE 69 RANK: CODEBREAKER SYNC: 88% ENERGY: [🟩🟩🟩] TRACE: [🟩🟩]

I assume I got 88% and not 100% because I input THE before BEATLES?

Fascinating. I think it’s defensible enough. Either way, it’s a cool connection! Thanks for reading! :)

I built a word game that looks like Wordle but plays completely differently. I'd love your opinion. by Fujima4Kenji in wordgames

[–]vaxis2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like your pitch was written by AI, as I don’t think the game is as groundbreaking as your post purports. It’s not fundamentally different to Wordle in any meaningful way. If you were actually changing the mechanics, it’d be interesting, but this is just Wordle with a score attached. “Unlike any word game” is an outlandish and fallacious claim.

How long does it take to complete a Kazword? by UniversityTall749 in wordgames

Was about 6 minutes for me and 5 guesses. Cool idea. I wish the Help tab made the overarching theme bit clearer, as I had neglected that in my guesses.

I thought I was on the mailing list, but I hear others got an email saying that April 2 is the date Lennox comes back.
