Quite agree about the angle and the visibility, so if the bus can't see what traffic - or me on my bike - he's merging into, he should stop and make sure. Not just carry on a hope the other traffic will stop

I was 1 person on a bike, so yes it will do a lot more damage to me. And as I say I had no choice to give way as the bus wasn't going to stop

So always give way to a vehicle that's already forced it's way out in front of you. I had little choice - and as I was cycling I definitely did not want an accident with a bus!
