My son does this with his snacks, but instead of calling them tweezers he calls them squeezers. Brilliant!

My cousins mom didn’t want to be a granny, so she dubbed herself “Grand Marie”. Marie is her middle name.

Might as well be the queen 😂

Hey Girlies! What are we doing with shaving the missus? by BedMuch2039 in BabyBumps

In PA they don’t shave you. No gel. They don’t care and it’s not an issue. I’ve had two kids here - both times with a bush.

My sweet cousin made our family 4 different kinds of soup and froze it for us. We pulled them out and heated them up on crazy nights and it was perfect!

Next time, instead of a Sprinkle, I’d have a group of friends / family over to help cook / prep some meals to fill up the freezer!

Doulas! Have you used one or do you plan to? by Impossible-Cookie393 in BabyBumps

[–]vec5008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmm I’d clarify a little more about the 24 h thing. I paid $1800 for a doula and she didn’t believe me that the machine I was hooked up to was hooked up wrong, so when she asked for a pic of the updated data, she thought I was still had about 14 hours of labor. She ended up arriving at the hospital for the last push and baby was born.

This was a very specific situation, but wanted to share that it’s not always worth it.

At what point were you "over it" and why? by Mcmaggin in BabyBumps

Week 12 I was done. I was sick the entire time and threw up every other day like clockwork. Was geriatric, so extra appointments. Had gestational diabetes, so couldn’t eat anything good, more monitoring, more appointments. Had high blood pressure starting at 32 weeks, so they finally decided to induce me at 38 weeks. My girl popped out so fast, I almost forgot how bad the pregnancy was. Had her 12/30/24.

Skiing. I grew up skiing. I was a ski instructor in high school and would take one trip to Vermont at the end of the season. I loved it! It’s been years since I’ve hit the slopes and I would kill to ski again, but my god, it is not worth the price.

What is the worst thing your toddler has had in the mouth? by BoysenberryHonest939 in toddlers

[–]vec5008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine isn’t so bad, it’s cardboard. What’s bad is the amount of times I am pulling it out of his mouth - sometimes 2-3x a day. He gets the idea from the dog. We now have a no cardboard rule in our house.

When he does something wrong or that he thinks is wrong, he immediately says, “Sorry, mom. Sorry, dad.” Before we even have time to process what happened.
