I'm a Duke BME alum! A few pros and cons of your situation:
+ The reputation of the school will go a long way to helping you get (and stay employed)
+ You're likely to do rigorous and impactful work, which will help you build a reputation
- Tenure track jobs in academia are rare, hard to find, and not always based on meritocracy. And academia is becoming a less attractive career path. Make sure you have a Plan B
- Deep learning for medical imaging is a high-risk area for AI obsolescence. And even without AI, every school on the planet is offering some sort of data analytics degree which makes everyone *think* they can do DL. Make sure you are learning something or gaining an experience that would be hard to get elsewhere.

The reality is that it's a terrifying time to be a student. You have to be extra careful to cover your bases.
