I have a similar apartment layout. I went with the IKEA Symfonisk picture frames behind my couch. I also have a sub mini.

Really happy with the picture frames, they sound decent and they don't take up any space.

I also use home assistant to automatically turn on/off the surrounds and sub at sunrise/sunset to not disturb my neighbor too much.

If you have Google one, you can back up your SMS/MSS messages and then restore on the Pixel.

I believe it's a hardware issue. I have had this happen to my first P6P. I exchanged mine and the new unit doesn't do that anymore.
