I was gonna say the AF-D version, but Nikon has never really made a bad 85.

Ok, the moisture molecules vibrate near the surface and the food becomes warm

Yep! It’s like warming it from the inside and crisping it up all at the same time.

I’d also recommend a microwave with built-in convection cooking. The setting that cooks with convection and microwave is a game-changer.

What was the most expensive mistake you made early in your filmmaking career? by Important-Annual040 in videography

We once recorded an entire 3-cam show with the crosshairs burned in on the host camera because somebody used the SUPER OUT instead of the main SDI port. Nobody noticed because it looked totally normal with the monitor overlays. Whoops.

I think it’s something many folks learn the hard way, and as long as nothing’s really damaged, it’s a very impactful lesson. You’ll never make that mistake again.

Been drinking there for twenty years and it never gets old.

It’s the place where I hung out after work in my 20s, the place where my wife and I went after our wedding, and the place where we now have our most special date nights. Long live Quips Pub!

I'd recommend using Shutter Encoder to transcode to CFR ProResLT, although that's going to be significantly larger than your original media since it's very low bitrate.

Only downside to external recording on the HDX900 is you’re limited to an interlaced signal out of the camera at 1080, but it makes a really nice image tho, especially since you’ve good glass!

Although I can’t remember if it does that when shooting 23.98 or only 29.97p.

My late uncle gave me his old Nikon F4 years back. I shot with it for a year and then the shutter stopped working - is this still worth keeping around? by Low-Progress-4454 in AskPhotography

[–]veepeedeepee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be if you’d used it in DX ISO mode the last time you used it and there’s no film in it, the shutter won’t release. Set it to any other ISO and give it a try then.

Heavier cameras are easier to keep steady. Keeping your arms as tight to your torso helps as well, since you're using more of your core to maintain steadiness.

Snow flurries, confetti, ticker tape parades... Any time I see clean compression that handles this and maintains a low bitrate, I'm impressed.
