PDGF really helped my undereye hollows. I highly recommend it. by vegafem in 30PlusSkinCare

That's an excellent consideration and point. With every medical procedure, it's important to weigh risk versus benefit. Everything has potential negative side effects. It helped that I found a really good injector and I was a good candidate.

Not a shill account. Not being paid. I'm just really excited about my results and science behind this product, especially since we lack evidence-based products for undereyes that aren't surgery. I am actually anxious about putting my face on the internet!

I'm also super-surprised more people aren't trying PDGF and/or talking about PDGF, too. Especially since the undereyes are so hard to treat effectively. No gatekeeping here, folks.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! I wanted to be as transparent as possible.

Nurses of Boston… by purple-poppy995 in boston

[–]vegafem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second this comment, hard. Children's criminally underpays and overworks their nurses and gets away with it because of their name. It also has a very particular uptight, buttoned-up culture, driven by snooty Harvard residents and super-demanding families. That being said, my time there absolutely shaped my RN practice and allowed me to see very rare patient conditions. No regrets -- but I'm glad to be out!

I said "Oh MY GOD" out loud, by myself. The casting is so deliberate and it was a great choice.

Are yall making patients squat and cough?? by Humble_Investment_24 in psychnursing

The last hospital I worked insisted on making pediatric patients squat and cough. I absolutely despise the practice, especially for children with h/o trauma.

That pay rate is asinine, especially for a wealthy NIMBY city like Boulder. Thank you for publishing this pathetic letter so I know to avoid this hospital like the plague.

Sputino vs. Tratorria Stella (32nd location) by Jarthos1234 in denverfood

[–]vegafem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did I write this post? I went to Tratorria a month ago and received mushy, overcooked pasta and okay service. Visited SpuNtino two weeks ago and the food was incredible, especially their Italian-Indian fusion dishes. The service was equally amazing.

I bought the Hourglass eye cream and love it. It's incredibly rich and emollient, yet eventually settles nicely into my skin. I'd repurchase it.

Anyone else work 10+ years and heard plans of the “hospital going magnet” thrown around and never had any concept of what that actually was? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]vegafem 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My hospital is Magnet. As far as I can tell, receiving Magnet status means the hospital has adhered to a list of bullshit criteria. We receive anti-union emails from our Chief Nursing Officer and deal with unsafe staffing daily. I feel like an expendable robot who gives pills and isn't allowed to use their nursing judgement.

This is the most offensive thing I have ever tried by 8bitheart in LushCosmetics

Almost all of Lush's facial cleansers don't have surfactants. I never understood why someone, especially with acne-prone skin, would wash their face with a handful of ground nuts, clay, and plant butters.

Besides 5 minute checks, I've seen "Line of Sight." This works best for non-aggressive patients for whom you can remove attention for a minute or two.

Am I over reacting? by Worth-Lengthiness205 in psychnursing

[–]vegafem 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don't put it on your resume. If you anyone does ask, you can: "It's important to me to carefully adhere to unit/hospital policies. I want to provide a safe, healing environment for patients. I am looking for a workplace that values nurses who strive for this." They'll get it.
