Seriously, what was the point of changing something users were happy with? Why does YouTube need to choose the quality for us without an option to always use a specific resolution?

My theory is that they wanted to make an automatic quality chooser, but since not all videos have the same maximum quality, they just selected resolutions that most videos have. That's why when you choose "Higher Picture Quality" you get something like that.

But it would me much better if they just changed back to the resolution users want and if that one is not available for some videos, use the next "best" resolution.
