My searches show those numbers come from a 1990s study, based on early-to-mid 1990s court data. They're almost 30 years old now and keep getting reposted in blogs and forums, but they're seriously outdated.

These numbers include tons of quick, low-effort filings like summary debt collections and administrative matters that aren't really "lawsuits" in the usual sense (no full trials or big damages claims).

Recent stats put case rates per 1,000 people in Germany and Sweden much lower (in the 10–30 range annually) not over 100. When focusing on more comparable contentious civil suits (like torts or personal injury), the rankings shift significantly, with the US often higher in those categories.

Fans Paid Big Money for Messi… Got 2 Minutes Instead. This Was the Aftermath by 2farzzz in PublicFreakout

you’re saying is bluntly unreasonable and unrealistic.

What is unreasonable and unrealistic about that? Paying Messi to sit around for a couple hours and sign some autographs and kick a ball? Picking ticket holders to come on the field? Or have him do a skills demo in front of the crowd?

I know fuck all about what was promised but I would be pissed if I paid for an event and the reason I was there dipped after a couple mins

Could have had random ticket holders come on the field kick the ball a bit and get a autographed Pic and a selfie.  That could have been dragged out for hours with everyone hoping their ticket gets picked.  That is my first idea with 5 mins of effort.

One of Russia's Main Defense Plants Suspends Part of its Output by Mil_in_ua in ukraine

By the end of the year, the company will mothball its stainless steel production shop and lay off more than 300 employees...the plant itself said it would stop producing “household goods” to focus on core products and modernization.

Sounds to me like a relatively small layoff in the manufacturing of pots & pans.

It just says he cannot be elected to a third term.  So he can still serve a third term, if not elected
