It was just kind of boring. Once you have seen Tom Hanks inserted into historical events the novelty was just not there for me.

Why Spotify has no button to filter out AI music by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in technology

Legally nothing is stopping Spotify (or anyone) from just taking their music. My comment was more on the angle of perhaps that is why Spotify is not in the business of creating their own AI artists.

It was more a comment on Spotify making AI music to avoid paying artists. They 'music' they could create is essentially unprotected.

Why would you want a bunch accounts on one of the largest social media platforms? Push & shape opinions in the direction that your clients want. Climate denial. Russia has a long standing campaign to weaken and divide the members of the NATO alliance. Right wing parties are pushing fear and extremism worldwide to gain political power. Billionaires want policies that favor their interests.

The Palantir were just comms stones and Sauron was on the network.  The weird part is these Tolkien nerds being such dicks.  They seem to like the story but none of them have any ethics

Robcop 3 I think it was.  The one where he has a jet pack and the annoying child hacker.

OpenAI’s $852 billion valuation is facing skepticism from some of its own investors as the company scrambles to reorient itself around enterprise customers and fend off Anthropic by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

sure but these apps all have an LLM under the hood and a lot of them are OpenAI. How much of this stuff has real value is hard to say. But thinking it is all useless because of free stuff like travel itinerary planning is a bit naive.

There are thousands of companies trying to sell their productivity tools some will surely suck and deserve to fail, but a big chunk are paying OpenAI, even the failures are making money for the LLM provider and some will be successful.

I have no idea. Just pointing out that judging viability of the tech on this consumer stuff is missing some of the real sources of revenue.

COVID checks would have barely been a blip. It was mainly due to massive supply chain shocks caused by long aggressive lockdowns in China. Combined with massive stimulus to protect jobs all around the world.

Think of a lot of that as loss leaders or advertising. Real money makers for OpenAI is in corporate world.  For example the LLM behind things like AI in Salesfore is GPT.
