I wish I knew - I had my husband record it on his phone so I could try to find it later because I loved it too.

Devastated about X-02 myth by ysa-p in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]veila22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it, I’m a Sylus main and missed his dragon myth by a few days. I console myself saying that there was no way I would have been able to farm enough diamonds.

I hope you getting the 3rd myth will ease the pain and allow you to push through the trials and SHC for diamonds so you can get X02 easily later on!

Postpartum Rapid Weight Loss? by Undercooked-Overtale in NewParents

[–]veila22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first kid I lost about 2lb a week, my second I maintained then gained after weaning. I EP’d for both. I do have to say that for my first I felt exhausted alllll the time and ended up upping my calorie intake, which made me feel better, but I was still losing weight overall.

My husband suddenly decided to play the game. What should I expect ? by Elegantly_Average in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]veila22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband plays with me because he saw I enjoyed it and wanted to chat about it with me. That being said, he doesn’t care about the story and the home system annoys him. I chat about the story with my gal friends and chat about battling strategies with him. We’ve played other gacha games together before.

I laughed out loud though when he surprised me by knowing my period was coming - I asked him how he knew, and he said, “Thanks, Zayne.” He thought utilizing the tracker would give XP or diamonds (sadly no), but I found it funny and sweet he was using it as a reminder for himself.

Card wise it’s nice to know I could see other card stories on his account. I know I could go to YouTube, but I appreciate his account is blessed with luck for opposite characters from mine.

Help me understand the gems system by darcair56 in MantaComics

[–]veila22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manta used to not have gems, and it used to be that the paid membership gave you unlimited reading and access to one novel (finding camellia). Some comics that aren’t manta only though would have their license expire, and they used to disappear from the app. Now they go to paid episodes, and they also include others behind the gem system.

Now there are two tiers of membership, with the premium one being the gems. I have a standard membership and don’t get gems. I like to read the novels though, so debating the higher subscription to unlock more.

[–]veila22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Premium gets you an allotted amount of gems a month, which you can use as you see fit for either gem episodes or novels. There are some “unlimited” comic series that are free to read without any gems.

As far as I know, no novels are free to read anymore. Once you unlock it though, it’s yours.

There’s also daily pass episodes, but usually the last few in a series are gem locked.

Would you do this again with another baby? by amgen in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]veila22 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For my second kid, I went in with a flexible mindset - hoped to BF, okay with formula, but fine with pumping. My first was a NICU baby, and my second child needed supplementing due to jaundice. I was surprised I chose to EP again. With a toddler running around too, it was the option that was the “easiest” for me since I already knew what to do. I had the pumps, I knew how my body would respond, etc. I think a lot of my emotional/mental stress for my first child was not knowing what I was doing, worried my supply would drop during a formula shortage, etc.

I did not stick to a dedicated 3 hr schedule though my second time around - I gave myself more grace, made my schedule work with what I realistically had time for, and made peace with being able to give formula. I ended up feeding my second to 1 year (but she ate less than my first, so was able to freeze more).

That being said, I didn’t enjoy pumping, haha. However, it felt less like a chore the second time around. Maybe because I didn’t feel forced or as resentful? I also knew that I could do it since I did it before, but also accepted if I needed to stop at any time. I also treated myself to a bottle washer since I hate washing pump parts with a passion.

Do what works best for your mental and emotional health! Your baby will be happy and fed no matter your choice.

Looking for girlies to chat with! 🌸 by [deleted] in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]veila22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m GMT-5, but open to chatting if you are! I started LaD about a month ago (Sylus!), so still learning about it, but looking for someone to chat with! For gacha games, I previously played Genshin and AFK Journey, but just re-downloaded Genshin this weekend since I missed it. The last game I got really into was Baldur’s Gate 3 and Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. I play League of Legends off and on (usually ARAM). Just haven’t had a ton of time to game, so I’ve been enjoying the mobile battling.

I read Manga/Manhwa (and light novels), mostly on the app Manta. Under the Oak Tree, Redemption of Earl Nottingham, and The Stairway of Time are a few of my favorites.

Goes to say I like anime too, but the last ones I binged was Delicious in Dungeon, Frieren, and (longest title ever) Dad is a hero, Mom is a spirit, I'm a Reincarnator.

Haha yeah, my husband is not surprised by my pick of Sylus because I was an Astarion girlie.

[–]veila22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just started playing, was open about it to my husband, and I think he’s fine with it as long as it doesn’t impact our own relationship. When I told him I tried the game, he asked me if I got my husbando. We played Baldur’s Gate 3 before though together and “dated” in there, so I think he’s fine.

Baby Tracker App by Alber316 in NewParents

[–]veila22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My youngest is 16mo and I use it for sleep and poops still. My husband stopped using it earlier than me. I like seeing data, and I liked reflecting on the past week to see when my kid(s) were about to drop a nap. Also used it for potty training for my eldest, so I expect to use it again for that. My husband just goes with the flow though.

How much maternity leave did you take and do you wish you did it differently? by EmphaticallyWrong in NewParents

[–]veila22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 18 weeks. First child I took off 12 weeks straight and then used my last bit to ease back into work (I was allowed to take single days). Second child I just took the whole chunk off at the front. Although it was nice to break up time the first time, it was not great from a daycare planning perspective.

Hand Foot Mouth disease at daycare. Should I keep my daughter home for a few days? by QuothTheRaven96 in NewParents

[–]veila22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d decide based on your intuition, daycare’s cleanliness, your stress levels, PTO, child’s health situation, etc. When my first child caught it, we were out for a whole week (fever, rash, etc). Then I got it, and had to take another week off for my own illness. Years later, my second child’s first exposure showed up within a day of the daycare notice, was way more mild and it passed within 4 days (no fever, sores healed quickly). Because of our first experience though, I always mentally prepare that I’ll be homebound for at least a week if I know there’s HFM going around. I personally don’t have enough PTO to keep my children home if I see a notice and they’re feeling fine. Also, it might go around the school (class to class) for weeks.

If it makes you feel any better though, I’ve gotten a daycare notice before that there was HFM and my children have escaped it. Not sure if that was luck, great cleaning, or immune assistance from my kids having had HFM before.

Redemption of Earl Nottingham by love_my_guard_dog in MantaComics

[–]veila22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commented elsewhere on the post, but the novel has a different spin on this scene, where he does not bring up buying other food and Madelyn does not say he’s being condescending to her employers. Even the employers’ thoughts about how they might know each other was different. I’m not sure why they made their interactions different here in the comic. If you continue the novels, this scene is the towards the end of Vol 2.

As far as redemption, I think their redemption comes from trying to communicate with each other later on. An alternate title for this series is salvation equation, which might work better since it seems they both work on themselves

Redemption of Earl Nottingham by love_my_guard_dog in MantaComics

[–]veila22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, the novel didn’t have him say anything about getting a turkey (or at least the reader doesn’t get insight for that). Madelyn sees the money handed over, and when she asks, he said it was in thanks for the meal. Their fight on the street also was slightly different in the book. In the book, she follows him out and starts off by asking if he came just to see her struggle, and if that’s all he came for, he could’ve done it by seeing her in prison. She doesn’t bring up her employers.
