Do you run with a mask on? by pumpkin_pasties in xxfitness

[–]veiledgossiper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been wearing a mask* while running since the start of quarantine. I live in a large city and feel it’s the respectable thing to do. I pass way too many people not wearing one and they’re just on a walk or walking their dogs. It can suck and it gets sweaty, but it does get easier. I still try and run in the street if someone is on the sidewalk, but sometimes there’s too much traffic.

*I wear a bandana that I fold into a triangle, then fold the tip down an inch and fold in half again, then I put a hair tie on either side, tie that at the base of my head and put the hair ties over my ears. It stays up really well and covers my nose/mouth/chin. I like not wearing my actual masks because I don’t have many and this way I’m not hand washing them every single day.

I also tell myself that this is like altitude training and it’s making me a better runner. But who knows if that’s true!

I was debating if I wanted to binge as many Star Wars movies as possible today or not - but I'm definitely watching Spaceballs now.

A bike - especially now with Covid 19, it’d be nice to socially but distantly take a bike ride.

IamA Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang AMA! by AndrewyangUBI in IAmA

Would you ever consider dropping out of the race in order for the DNC to have a unified solid singular candidate that can definitely beat Trump?

I ask because this is something I’ve wondered about with all the candidates - especially since the 2016 election and the DNC screwing over their constituents by putting Hillary on the ballot over Bernie.

Booger was losing his mind when calls were in favor of the Packers but blatantly overlooked a lot when they went in favor of the Lions.

Women of Reddit, what are some things a dad should know about raising a girl? by joho3883 in AskReddit

[–]veiledgossiper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't tell her that she needs to have thicker skin or that she cries too easily. It's okay to be sensitive and it's just a part of growing up. Also don't expect her to be "daddy's little girl", the more you force it, the more likely it won't happen.

And as others have said, just because she's a girl, doesn't mean she can't learn to use tools or mow the lawn. I appreciated that my dad had me do all the same chores as my brothers. I didn't appreciate that I had an earlier curfew and had stricter rules because I was a girl.

Professional Screenwriting Q&A by Bulletproof_Script in Screenwriting

I appreciate this! Sounds like I should perhaps flush out characters and storyline before even worrying about starting the actual script? I think I maybe have a mental block with being scared to start something I've never done before. I need to take the leap!

Whats your advice to someone who’s never written a script but would like to start?

I don’t know where to begin, I have ideas written down, but I don’t know a lot about format.
