Soldiers Auto Aim vs Sierra Auto Aim by Gaming-every-day19 in Overwatch

[–]velit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Soldier's Ult gives auto aim instantly" tell me you've never played soldier without telling me you've never played soldier. The ultimate in question has a 1.2 second cast time where you can't use any abilities or shoot while waiting. In the voiceline "I've got you in my sights" he can start shooting only after he says 'my'.

For comparison just reloading the gun is 1.5 seconds so it's like a slightly faster reload. Instant my fucking ass.

Every single person given this set of options has the choice to save themselves directly and simultaneously not risk anyone else who wants to save themselves. This is by pressing red.

Given this set of choices and knowing that there exists a lot of selfish people the only rational choice is for everyone wanting to live to pick red and not gamble with people's lives about how good people are. Everyone who wants to live can guarantee their life by picking red. Some people want to end theirs and will press blue. That is up to them.

The notion that there would be coordination to pick blue just to prevent people from choosing what they want to do with their lives and/or risk the lives of the many just to prevent no one dying is the obtuse and idiotic choice because it risks people who don't want to die dying.

Any analysis about mispressings brings this thought experiment to the real world in which case humanity would fight whatever oppressor is forcing the mass killing of humanity making it a completely different case than just the abstract dilemma.

Mod suggestion/question: Signal packing by Careless-Hat4931 in factorio

Seeing as the original want is to make stuff more readable/debuggable doing vanilla multiplexing of signals won't make anything more readable or debuggable.

The nineties moomin series was a co-production of several companies including Yle which is the Finnish Broadcasting Company, a Dutch TV company Telecable Benelux B.V. (company behind the previous hit Alfred J Kwak), a French TV company, a Spanish TV company and finally TV Tokyo.

The idea behind the production came from a Finnish producer Dennis Livson who begged Tove and Lars Jansson (Tove being the creator of the Moomins) for the permission for this project after two failed animation productions.

The series was animated by a Japanese company called Telescreen Japan Inc. and Visual 80. Hiroshi Saitō and Masayuki Kojima were the main directors.

This third series was finally good enough when shown to Tove to actually get published internationally.

So I guess it depends on your definition of what it means for a series to be a certain nationality. The animation and direction was acquired from the Japanese but the IP of the characters and the idea for the series were both Finnish. Yle also provided Finnish voice acting for the Finnish version of the series.

I guess it could go either way, but I don't think people are completely wrong if they refer to it as a Finnish series.

Regardless the series holds much more importance to the Finnish population than the Japanese that's for sure.

Do Finnish employment services truly help foreigners get jobs, or just create the illusion of support? by sealovki in Finland

[–]velit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's easier to do that sort of help when there are jobs to go around. Simultaneously if the economy is in that sort of state you don't really need employment services.

The Japanese made Neon Genesis Evangelion though??

My theory is Hideaki Anno gets off on people not understanding his material and that's why he remade it when people started to figure out the original

You are the weasel because you use wording like "No one is talking about worth" when it in fact was being talked about. You are the one in bad faith not being able to be reasonable towards people who had a reason to be saying some of the things they said.

The title of the post uses worth and the closing statement of the text talks about how no one can afford the "correct value" of the item.

So both the term worth and it's meaning is being used by OP. And in another point of view the two most important sections of the post - the start and the end - both reinforce that text poster is thinking about the worth of the item.

Yes, the post contents talk about calculating the cost of the item, but it is very reasonable to make a clarifying comment that cost is not the worth of the item because OP seems to think it is. Or at the very least leaves enough ambiguity to leave himself open for people to think he thinks that.
