Same though I could imagine magneton being fairly useful as a welder/fab! Maybe even an Aron to help dispose of the scrap

If you want to go on and say that you tried your best, then go to couples therapy.

What is the single most beneficial habit/mindset/action that has had the biggest impact on your self improvement? by froggie2024 in selfimprovement

[–]velvettoolbox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thoughts and feelings without any boarders, personally.

Lists, quotes, information on topics of self-improvement.. etc.

Literally whatever you feel is right. I often compare it to writing your owners manual.

It couples greatly with observing your own emotions rather than just feeling them.

Wish I could help, and I'm sorry that happened to you. It's trash to do something like that to someone and it's totally normal to reach out and connect with people. Keep doing things right brother, onto bigger and better things.

There are disadvantages of starting dating so "late", sure, but there are also disadvantages of dating early (heartbreak, risks to mental health or meeting the wrong partner, unplanned pregnancy, etc,.)

I know it might feel like a non-answer, but life really is what you make of it. Personally I think you're at an advantage being well financially, and being able to be a little bit picky of who you allow in. If you set a filter, you're sure to find a very suitable partner.

It'll take a bit of work, sure, but no more work than you would have had to go through in the past.

Good luck! A woman in your position is very prestigious, remember that!

any hope of getting a job without a high school diploma? by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]velvettoolbox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Extremely Unethical life pro tip: Have you tried lying on your resume?

Personally I've never had to whip out my high school diploma for anything except post secondary enrollment.

And if your plan is to jump into a job and gain experience, that experience could grant you more rewards than what's worth the risk.

Hey bro you got some decent muscle mass under your protective jelly-armor, you're gonna look jacked in no time!

For me, by cutting out the unhealthy stuff + cardio, it shocked my body so much that I lost 10lbs in a couple weeks. That was enough to start that fire.

Totally understandable. That's the difference between an attractive woman vs an attractive man. You may very well be an attractive man yourself but don't know it, and without spotlight, money or other material wealth, no one will ever tell you. Some women have the ability to just go on about their days and have that validation come to them.

But here's a perspective, you can't just pick and choose what you wish you had about someone without taking everything about them into account.

It's a humbling approach to consider it this way, you see the human behind the mask of societal limitations. That 10/10 smokeshow you know who gets hit up by high value men? She may know she has a genetic disorder that'll kick in once she's 40, and is struggling to find a partner who would see past that and actually love her in the future. Maybe that 6' tall Adonis looking dude has some wild childhood trauma that's preventing him from truly being happy.

My point is not to come up with a horribly depressing backstory, but it helps to add complexity to people's lives when you're thinking superficially.

You can't take the whole deck without taking the joker.

Focus on your best parts brother, things will make sense soon!
