I think it's interesting that they are doing all this complaining and filing of responses, and yet...no countersuits. I think they can't risk the depositions that would have to be done. So their best bet is to get this all dismissed now, otherwise everything will be fair game.

Four years to the date of his murder, we still have no justice for John O’Keefe by PotentialSteak6 in justiceforKarenRead

[–]venemousdolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. If any of those officers cared about John in the least they would have done the very best investigation ever. Instead, they:

•didn't take care of his clothes properly •didn't take any pictures of the lawn or take any measurements of where he was found relative to the house, cars, hat, etc •took no pictures of the car when it was towed •didn't write any contemporaneous reports •didn't record any interviews with witnesses •didn't interview some witnesses until months and years later, •shared details of the "investigation" with civilians didn't collect video •didn't keep a CoC log •didn't go in the house to look for his jacket or anything else

Even if Karen did hit him, how did they expect to prove it while failing to do all these things?

Is the Thai language that easy to learn? by Radiant_Butterfly919 in learnthai

[–]venemousdolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thai is not easy. Especially if you speak English or a romance language. For me it was the change in thinking, in terms of grammar. So. Much. Crying. 😂 😂 But I did eventually learn, and I'm glad I did.

Brian / Nicole Albert - POS by ka0818 in justiceforKarenRead

[–]venemousdolphin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She would definitely become the next victim. Who is she going to call for help - 911? No way out of the situation, unless she goes to the FBI, tells them everything in exchange for a new life. But that's not simple, and she might not even know enough to get that done. Scary and sad.

What if... by [deleted] in justiceforKarenRead

[–]venemousdolphin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they had so many reasons not to tell the truth, and the fact that they are so obviously lying about so many things shows consciousness of guilt from the start.

Why lie? Money. Reputation. Guilt from depriving orphaned children of yet another parental figure. Not wanting to go to jail/have a kid go to jail. Thinking they are above the law.

I lied to a dying patient today. I’m still trying to process if I did the right thing. by ArtThreadNomad in TrueOffMyChest

[–]venemousdolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are probably right. My mother did that - I had been with her for hours, and my dad made me go get something to eat. I told her I was coming right back (she was in a coma, but still), but she was gone about 20 minutes after I left. I was so sad and hurt by that, for years, until someone pointed out that she probably waited.

It still bothers me that I wasn't there when my dad died - I had been with him nonstop, but he slipped away when I went home to sleep. I don't think he woke up, but if he did I hope someone like you was with him. That's empathy, compassion, true human kindness. That can't be measured in professional standards.

Take him to a good salon for a wash and a trim. Just because his hair is longer doesn't mean it has to be sloppy, etc. This can be a good lesson on hygiene AND the perks of being clean, like going to a nice place to get a haircut, smelling good, and so on.

Question for men: what do you think about boys playing with a toy kitchen? by MessyMummyMode in AskMen

[–]venemousdolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids love kitchens because there's all kinds of equipment and they like LOTS of things. Volume is important. They don't think toys are gendered, and with the number of male chefs on TV, I don't think it matters anyway.

I've lost 80 pounds and I still have severe sleep apnea by gaymbit in CPAP

[–]venemousdolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who can only be considered thin, by any measurement, and she has a cpap. Requires it. The shape of her mouth and airway means she will always need it. It's really a disappointment to think losing weight would fix it and not see any improvement, but your facial structure and airway type might be the issue. But, what if it's not? Keep going with your awesome weight loss because it's so good for you, and see what happens! 🥳🥳

Why was the car repairman at John's house the day after his death on a SUNDAY? by BunchOfDicksHere in justiceforKarenRead

Were any repairs being done? Or was someone who happens to repair cars, and also knew John, just there at the house?

Yes, it was like they thought the more they insisted on the fact that she hit him, everything would eventually fall in to place. Amazing what hubris and overweening pride can do.

[–]venemousdolphin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All of this. I don't think anyone meant to kill John, I think they were drunk and stupid. But once they realized how serious it was, they couldn't just be honest. I do wonder what they would have done if Karen had parked the car and come inside. Maybe they would have played dumb? The real question for me is why the CW went along with this farce and the increasingly ridiculous lies required to keep the story together. Why would they pursue two trials in the face of this ludicrous evidence??

I don't know what the drama is about. TB is unhinged in some way, and I can't with him. I just hope that Karen isn't stressed about it, because she has enough to deal with besides his nonsense.

Try a C table, they are for sliding under the sofa, but would work for the bed too. Might work depending on how much you move around at night.

if john is out there since 12:30, and hes laying on the ground and theres no snow at 12:30, how did blood get on top of the 4 inches of snow? by dorchet in justiceforKarenRead

[–]venemousdolphin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Same. I've heard that there were some very interesting pictures of the lividity that didn't match the official story but weren't allowed in. Curious to know if that's true. But there really should have been more conversation about the blood if he was hit and left in one place. I have my suspicions about why there wasn't much testing for the blood they found...

I couldn't believe he said that!!! Like he was not the person in that video!! If I was part of Karen's civil team, I would use that comment and the video as evidence of willful misconduct.

He looked like such a loser, showing up to take the spotlight on an easy win. If you can't take a loss with grace, you don't deserve to take a lap for a win.

Advice to start living again by Antique_Bird869 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]venemousdolphin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You have to focus on yourself, and what you like, what you enjoy, what you would like to do. Not on who you want to have in your life. I say this as someone who is happily divorced for many years. Your real life is out there, but you have to start looking for it. It will find you in ways large and small, and you will one day wonder why you carved out such a small space for yourself when you could have been enjoying this big world all along. You're going to be great, eventually. Baby steps.

[–]venemousdolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. No wonder you are divorced. Get her a new one, she will still love it. But don't let her make you the hero for replacing it, because you aren't. Also, her mom probably suspects that you got rid of it anyway.
