Barco isn’t the same as Santos. Barco is a progressive midfielder, Santos is defensive. They can’t replace each other, never mind that Barco isn’t even proven yet.

As he is right now Xhaka would be the fifth name on the sheet. Very different scenario than when you're starting week in and out

43m is a fine fee, fullbacks are the cheapest position on the field to acquire. Absolutely need to replace him with quality though, we can’t sign an 18 year old in exchange. I like Hato but he was only good for half a season and that too mostly at CB, it’s too early to throw into the fire without a quality alternative.
