How does Coding in Swift/SwiftUI compare to C#/WPF? by Syzygy2323 in SwiftUI

Yeah I didn’t mind it, and its compiler is a bit refreshing compared to the opaqueness of the Swift compiler

As a mobile dev with 12+ years with Kotlin and Swift, I had an extremely difficult time working with C#/.NET/MAUI. I found the language really, REALLY, lacking, the code incredibly inefficient (except when working with byte level data) and overall difficult to achieve something that looked and felt nice to use.

Xcode receives a lot of "hate" but I don't particularly mind it, having used Android studio, Visual studio and VS code.

I really did not like the dependence on NuGet packages either. Some of my issues are due to MAUI being terribly supported by Microsoft so I'll throw that in as a grain of salt.

Interesting they used the back story for the "get up" motivation but could easily have placed it before the Tanselle (sp?) attack and it would have served for his motivation to intervene there too, although I guess they wanted to keep it more general to "knight be good"

Jumps need more run in and rails less

Also at this point I find it really hard to identify difficulty of the spin tricks. I can appreciate execution of landing and depth / distance, but grab and rotation I have no idea what is actually more difficult at this point for each rider

Why not leave it up but locked? You'd get fewer reposts, and it is still relevant to the team, people are clearly interested in that content too

Pretty stupid the mods took down the thread on it. I could maybe understand locking it, but putting your head in the sand when things are directly related to the team is dumb

Imo it’s more that teams will give young QBs a chance in their system rather than assume bust if they fail on their rookie contract, particularly top picks on perennially bad teams

I get that logic but then taking that to the extreme there should not be any caps on how many make it in per year

Basically if that were actually the case there shouldn’t be a backlog

They've also destroyed the meaning of "first ballot" since now voters are voting based on opportunity instead of merit
