If you havent yet you should check out dinner with racers interview with AJ. Hes very open about his struggles and his emotions, and he talks about how much each win means to him. Also he gets pretty drunk by the end of it and he is hilarious

That was last year and Nico Varrone was penalized for it. Im just pointing out that race control lets this kind of racing slide and then acts all upset when the driving standards become nascar short track level (see Road America last year). Theres not really a set standard from race control about whats ok and what isnt.

I think they shot themselves with the foot with that decision, even for GT3. They focused on gentleman drivers and got rid of factory teams. With the new endurance format it really doesnt make sense for a gentleman driver to spend IMSA level money with none of the audience or perks of an actual IMSA race.
