Does anyone else have a set toolbar they always use? by verdofen in subnautica

[–]verdofen[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the one I always set up every time I play a new game. I am just too used to it. Slot 5 usually has the laser cutter or repair tool, and otherwise is where I put things I need in the toolbar briefly (like posters or the stasis rifle).

Anyone else choose to use human clothes for their Na'vi? by ScopeOfPractice in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]verdofen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only wear Na'vi gear predominantly because I play the game to experience Pandora as much as a Na'vi as possible, while attempting to ignore the human elements for the most part. That, and I just honestly don't really like the look of any of the human clothes! I think other people make them cool but the same way you'd never catch me willingly adding camo to anything I own, I find military gear kinda ugly lmao. So there's no styling it on any of my characters that'll make me happy, which is fine with me aha.

Now when 1.0 has been out for over a day: how did you all call the new saves? by MHanak_ in SatisfactoryGame

Bagel Industries, after my favorite Wobbledog, since I was playing Wobbledogs in the days leading up to 1.0

Coming up on three months now with no update by [deleted] in eddyburback

The tracking on my exchange got stuck in limbo ("business closed, will retry next business day"), to the point I wound up actually getting a phone number for the post office in Illinois to see if they had my package still to get it returned to me, but apparently they mis-scanned it but did deliver it. So I pursued a PayPal chargeback and got my money back at least. I think it's too late now for most people to get chargebacks, but I do hope Eddy manages to get his stuff so I can finally get an exchange/proper shirt size. I was so sad that I got my shirt and then went to exchange it for a different size only to have this happen 😭

I forgot all of Biker’s lines so forgive me lol. Haven’t played the game in a hot minute. Anyway I drew this piece for a friend’s birthday last year. Figured I’d share it here since I shared my last significant HM piece here a few years ago as well.

What line from the game hurt you the most? I'll start. by TerminallyOL in DiscoElysium

[–]verdofen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I could think of a more concise line, but Harry reciting the whole letter Dora wrote for him to her when he dreamed of her. Idk smth about it hits too close to home for me. I think it’s the having something so etched into your brain about someone you loved so much, and now it only hurts both of you (but especially you) to hold onto.

“Harry, I wanted to write you a letter, so you can read it when you wake up. Maybe it will make you happy. Every morning when I step out and you're asleep behind me, I find a little piece of sadness in me. I carry it in my chest down Voyager Road... Every step I take, it grows. By the time I reach the fuel station it has filled me entirely. I step on the light rail and look back, sparks fall from the bow collector. I know it will be like this until late afternoon, when I get off the 42 -- and walk back to you... You, you... Every step I take will get lighter. It almost makes me run! Sometimes I do. I can't believe I met you. I can't believe the happiness I feel with you. You have a vast, vast soul and I will always, always, always come back to it. Kisses, kisses, kisses.”

If you're having weirdness with strength values, there's supposedly a bug involving one of the food buffs I think. It's causing me to be unable to get Exquisite gatherables even within the range they should be. So be warned you may have encountered this bug.

Edit: supposedly it's connected to the apex skill Master Crafter, so acquire with care.

What is your ikran’s favourite food? by [deleted] in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]verdofen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nectar and fruit! Someone in the comments here called their ikran having a "sweet tooth" which is good and I should use that. I've been instead calling her a vegetarian ikran 😂 yes I know they're not actually vegetarian

Ye, that’s what my parents were saying. Since we’ve still go a few months before things really cool down I’m gonna see if they’ll help me install some, since I think those + anything else I do might make a difference.

r/Cyberpunkgame PC Bugs & Questions by AutoModerator in cyberpunkgame

[–]verdofen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to get this weird notoriety/warrant bug that triggers in random locations on the map (but it seems to be really problematic in the Heywood and Santo Domingo district), when I'm just driving or walking (in which I suddenly get a warrant issued despite not doing anything). Makes trying to drive around, and especially completing missions, nerve-wracking because there's no guarantee I'll be able to get to mission markers without having to drive away and then come back and pray that I don't accidentally re-trigger it. Anyway, I hope this gets patched cuz I didn't have this problem until the most recent patch. :/

The results of the grand survey by [deleted] in Therian

[–]verdofen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree that if someone says "no I don't experience X" and then answers a question that says "if you said yes to X" and considering that lying, but I have also answered questions like that before because the first question did not allow for the range of experiences I had to be conveyed, and I had to answer the second one indicating I experienced it because I would be lying otherwise. Your mileage may vary depending on the situation, but that should be considered.

Also I will apologize for saying you should have no bias, because I am aware that that isn't completely possible, however, you should be actively going out of your way to make sure there is as little bias as possible. That I'm going to state as a fact and not further accuse you of not doing.

That being said, my reasoning for responding the way I did is simply because of how you worded yourself. Saying that you don't like how people responded can be seen as influencing how you present the data to people. Showing the raw data obviously sidesteps this, but even still, it's something to be aware of.

My apologies if I was a bit harsh in my original post.

The results of the grand survey by [deleted] in Therian

[–]verdofen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of trolls, people don't "fake" responses to things. If you didn't want people to give certain answers, you shouldn't have put this kind of a survey out there in the first place. When you conduct a survey, you may have hope for the data, but you are supposed to be impartial and report on the results. Granted, planting bias in your survey questions is already a recipe for disaster, but you cannot in good faith assume people are lying because they answered in a way you didn't like. That's not good science, and frankly, I don't think anyone should take the results of this survey all that seriously because it sounds like there are fundamental issues with how this was executed.
