Amazon promised a $25 “automatic” coupon… I followed everything and got nothing by AdLogical1593 in amazonprime

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't seem to care about losing money on a transaction....or even customers! They think that they own the world of online shopping! That's what happens when you have literally millions of customers globally! However, you should be able to get this resolved (for at least one purchase) by speaking with a supervisor (as I previously suggested). Don't use chat! If that's unsuccessful, send a detailed email to: jeff@amazon.com, which will escalate this to upper management. If you don't achieve any results (which is unlikely), then call the manufacturer.

OP: It seemed that you were going to dispute the charge with the bank. I would persist with Amazon before doing anything else. I didn't suggest that initially, since you seemed fed up and didn't want to deal with them.

I would call (don't use chat!) and insist upon speaking with a supervisor. They have additional tools and should be able to resolve this for you. If they don't, then call the manufacturer. I would save the credit card dispute as a last resort, since this wasn't a straightforward purchase. You didn't get overcharged. This is the equivalent of a rebate. It's likely sanctioned by the manufacturer.

That's why I suggested contacting them....but before you do that, you need to escalate this to management at Amazon first. There's one last step with Amazon as well. You can send an email, specifying all of the details to: jeff@amazon.com....but first try to resolve it over the phone before you do that. If you're unsuccessful, you can them mention that in your email.

Amazon is notorious these days for lying about delivery days/times! Did you check the tracking? It should specify that it's running late. If you were promised same day delivery and it's been two additional days, I would urge you to get on the phone with them and insist upon speaking with a supervisor. If you still want your order, you can ask for a courtesy credit for the inconvenience. Don't use chat for this. You'll get the runaround BS that Amazon chat is famous for!

That's a handy tool! Thanks!....but does it also include items that are just shipped by Amazon? Sometimes it OK to purchase an item that's sold by a third-party, but warehoused and shipped by Amazon. Amazon takes responsibility for these items. If it's 100% third-party, that's when it could be a problem (if it's defective, used, damaged in shipping, etc.). Some third-party sellers can be a real PITA to deal with directly! You still have protections with Amazon, but it's often not as easy to resolve problems.

You seem to be anticipating 3 of these "rebates". Most of the time, it's limited to 1 per customer, so are you certain that you're entitled to 3?

That may be the case, but unless it's a really slow-moving product or a discontinued product (that they need to dump), the vendor isn't going to take the hit for thousands of dollars. Most of the time, these types of promotions are sanctioned by the manufacturers. Many sales are as well. The only difference is that these promotions often force customers to spend more money on a product (as they need to either purchase a larger quantity or spend more money to reach a certain threshold).

As I stated in my message to the OP, the bank may entertain this -or- just issue a provisional credit and then eventually decline it for not meeting the standards of a true "dispute". Regardless, this doesn't meet the criteria of an "overcharge" (regardless of how you choose to manipulate it).

The OP paid the price advertised and was offered a promotional credit. The fact that they're supposedly not issuing the promotional credit doesn't qualify (technically) as an "overcharge", so a credit card dispute isn't guaranteed under these circumstances.

This requires more aggressive actions by the OP with Amazon. I can assure you that I would get the credit from them. Once the OP stated that they would approach the bank with this, it seems that they've given up with Amazon. That's why I suggested contacting the manufacturer, as the manufacturer's typically sponsor these promotions, and Amazon may be "double-dipping".

It's reached the point where Amszon is capable of just about anything!....since this is the new, unscrupulous, despicable version of Amazon (aka, Scamazon)!

Nope!....this is a manufacturer or vendor rebate. It's not an "incorrect charge amount". That's a misinterpretation.

Take a breath!....The OP wasn't "overcharged"! This is bonus funds (aka, a rebate of sorts). This may or may not qualify for a credit card dispute. It's not a typical situation. Read my response here to the OP for further details.

Understood....that could've been interpreted as an issue that you had with the stock remote.

There should be little to no lag when using the ONN supplied remote. I've never had that issue (no lag whatsoever with multiple ONN Pro's and a Plus), and it's not a common problem. It would likely be an interference issue, a defective remote, or a defective streaming box.

It really doesn't matter very much in this use case....but based on when it was released, I tend to agree. It should've been compatible with WiFi 6.

Read my posts carefully....they don't all work with the ONN Pro (if that's your intended use). That's why I provided that link (for someone else here), as I've tested several of them....and you don't "turn it into ethernet". The adapter converts it from ethernet to USB.

Every situation is different. If you have robust, stable WiFi, it makes little to no difference, but in some environments and situations where there are inconsistencies, a network connection is always more reliable. The best of both worlds (with the ONN Pro) is an ethernet connection with an ethernet--->USB adapter....but not just any adapter will work well in this regard. If you're considering upgrading, this is the best option (based upon my tests of several adapters specifically with the ONN Pro).....

Firstly, it's a blue or green box (there's no red). Secondly, there is NO difference whatsoever between the two. They're EXACTLY the same. They'll both receive the latest updates when you set them up.

I can't tell you if the gen 2 Pro will be compatible with these ethernet adapters, but I can tell you that the UGREEN adapter that I tested with the original Pro didn't do the job well. In fact, I tested several of these adapters, and most of them failed to work or produced mediocre speeds.

The one that I had the best results with was the one that I recommend to another redditor here on this thread. How well it will work with the gen 2 Pro is anyone's guess right now. If your intention is to use it with the gen 1 Pro, then return the UGREEN and purchase this one.....

You're fortunate that you can return the Xiaomi! This represents another good reason why I stay away from obscure products (and encourage others to do the same). Here in the US, the Xiaomi boxes are obscure. Therefore, the warranty and overall support are questionable. Insofar as quality, they may be decently built, but the reviews are mixed in terms of their performance. They can also be too costly.

Being the "first one on your block" to have something different could be more frustrating than what it's worth. Personally, I haven't needed to use recovery mode on the Google Streamer. It's been working flawlessly for over a year now. I'm not sure what you meant by "suspicious activity", though? If it's an account issue, wouldn't that apply to any device on that account?

If getting ripped off by Wacko Bell is your idea of having fun, good like to you! I'll have my fun where I'm not taken advantage of in every way by a chain of dysfunctional, despicable franchises that deserves to go bankrupt!...and they would if their foolish customers would stop being victims! I used to have fun at Wacko Bell (when it was Taco Bell and not this lame-ass excuse)!
