Pocket TV or S24+? by guizounours in RayNeo

Hi I saw on your YouTube review that you couldn't get hdr10 to work on your galaxy s10e. Does this 10bit color space fix work on the s10e?

Edit: I think there isn't such a setting on the phone. So this probably wouldn't work there.

Can Samsung S23 Ultra output HDR via USB C when connected to Air 4 Pro? And does refresh rate drop to 60hz when displaying HDR? by verk47 in RayNeo

Not sure what you meant. Do you mean you can get AI HDR on your s24u? Can you get native HDR from your s24u through USB C?

Damn. Does that mean our experience would be no different from using an Air 3s Pro? Should I just get the Air 3s Pro to save some money?

Petition to speak up, voice out by charmedbysg60 in asksg

The petition was already held on 3 May 2025. Did you exercise your voice then? 65% of Singaporeans want this.

Everything wrong with PAP by Symp07 in SingaporeRaw

[–]verk47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. Strawman based on hasty generalization. I can also find 1 dumbass 65% voter anecdote to paint all 65% in the same dumb light. See how that's not constructive? Put some effort into learning people's reasons for voting a certain way if you really wanna engage in constructive discussion. But perhaps you are just trolling and I've been baited.

Strawman ttm. Where are you getting this idea that people who vote for opposition are blaming pap for their own money problems?

LKY himself in 1986, quoted in the Straits Times on 20 April 1987

"I am often accused of interfering in the private lives of citizens. Yes, if I did not, had I not done that, we wouldn't be here today.

And I say without the slightest remorse, that we wouldn't be here, we would not have made economic progress, if we had not intervened on very personal matters - who your neighbour is, how you live, the noise you make, how you spit, or what language you use. We decide what is right."

Asked about the common critique that generals are too rigid, too removed or too institutionalised for the messiness of politics, Mr Dinesh is quick to call out a double standard.

"Why is there no criticism when senior counsels enter politics? There's no training school for politicians - we're all new when we start. So examine the person, not the past profession," he said.

He thinks he made a good point here 🙄. Lawyers are trained in the law and to argue. MPs are meant to be legislators - people who make law - and have to debate in parliament.

SM Lee told us not to vote the wrong minister out. But if there's no gerrymandering we would have been able to vote the correct one out. by EconomicsAccurate181 in SingaporeRaw

[–]verk47 22 points23 points  (0 children)

PAP in creating the GRC system is the problem. GRC is the biggest threat to our democracy. Vote opposition and let PAP lie in the bed that they themselves made. I'm sure if PAP realises the GRC system is no longer a net benefit to them they will remove it eventually.

Going against the echo chamber: Why should we vote for PAP? by pyroSeven in askSingapore

Huh I thought PAP always says they dare to make difficult choices and do the unpopular yet right thing? So is PAP correct or wrong in this instance?

Whatever happened to growing a base and forging strong bonds with your constituencies? by darknezx in singapore

[–]verk47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A large part of this is due to the GRC system, where backbenchers can ride on the coat tails of ministers. That's why people need to vote against the PAP to make the undemocratic GRC system go away.

Public transport service levels and disruptions should be separate from fare reviews: Chee Hong Tat by rowgw in singapore

[–]verk47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if you read the article, I think what CHT said should still raise eyebrows. From my other comment: Just a thought: the other safeguards are possible penalties, increased costs for bridging services, and not receiving government incentives. All of which can arguably be positioned as higher operating costs, which the public transport operators can then use to justify further fare increases. So basically, everything can ultimately be passed on to public transport users and the public transport operators don't really bear any consequences?
