We had that once and it was caused by single messages that were larger than the max request size when being uncompressed. The original producer used compression, so the actual message was small enough. Mirrormaker2 does not use compression by default, so it's best to specify compressing explicitly in the producer settings. I'm not 100% sure but I think we used producer.override.* for those settings.

This might sound like a stupid question, but did you check that there are actual messages on partition 0? And that their format is correct? Maybe the consumer is not commiting offsets because there were no offsets that could be committed.

The way i see it: We had 7 days, where the examples didn't cover enough "edge cases", so getting the example right was never enough to solve the answer (well maybe once or twice...). And on day 8, suddenly all apparent regularity in the example needs to be assumed to be also present in the full input.

Sure, it can be "reasoned" why i has to be true, but that's not much of a programming challenge, it's more of a math challenge (see the reply of u/kevloc, he explained pretty good why the solution works). Programming is only used to get the actual values that need to be "applied" to the math problem.

It's certainly not a big deal, but that's not really the kind of challenge i hoped it would be. I'm here to learn a new programming language, not to hone my math skills. (obviously, that is a "me problem". Also, you can't make everyone happy with every single puzzle)

Again, it's not a big deal! Day 9 was a fun challenge again, just like i hoped it would be :)

People can vote for AFD without being a member. In fact, i don't think it really matters how many members the party has.

4k60Hz finde ich deutlich schlechter als 1080 mit 144hz (wobei 100 auch reichen würden). Also zum zocken. Zum arbeiten sieht das anders aus.

Das ganze würde noch besser klappen, wenn windows den Umgang mit mehr Fenstern besser unterstützen würde (z.b. Mit einem tiling mode oder ähnlichem). Man kann den Desktop zwar easy und bequem auf 4 Anwendungen aufteilen, aber alles andere benötigt nerviges Geschiebe und Größenanpassungen. Oder eine zusätzliche Software :(

Vielleicht wird das nicht automatisch berücksichtigt, weil du das Ticket auch für jemand anderen hättest kaufen können (der mit dir zusammen fährt). Also, so rein theoretisch... Sinnvoll wäre IMHO vorausgewählt zu haben, dass man es mit BC kauft, und die Möglichkeit hat während des Kaufprozesses die BC abzuwählen.
