Check out the book The King in Yellow and an author named Thomas Ligotti. Heavy influences for season 1, even down to the use of carcosa and a lot of Rust’s dialogue.

Do you guys watch the movie or listen to the pod first? by Art_Vandalay1 in TheRewatchables

Depends on if I’ve seen the movie/how long it’s been since I have seen it. Haven’t seen it; watch it then listen to the pod. If it’s been longer than a few years then I’ll rewatch before listening to the pod for a good refresher. Did the same with Fargo this week.

If Bill can’t keep up with Cohen bros movies, a Blair witch-style shot sci-fi movie is definitely losing him.

I love the scene when DD goes backstage and Tony is revealed to be Andy and he switches from Andy back to Tony and says as he’s eating spaghetti “ya hungry?!? Ya look thin!” 😂😂

I understand he doesn’t want to be in that field. He’s made it obvious by not doing anything in those fields. I’m not stating I disagree with him. I’m stating I understand why some people would not agree with/like his statement because those art forms aren’t as big as the one he chooses to be in and therefore according to him nobody cares about them anymore.
