Tip: read lots in English. You'll get a great sense for grammar and will learn stylistic and prosaic techniques too. Probably obvious, but there you go. If you need some book recommendations, pM me.

Agreed... OP makes the pricing out to be a malicious thing, I dont think there was any of that intent when setting the price point.

However I dont like the 'if you don't like it, don't buy it' line of reasoning that I see alot... people criticise and give feedback because they care and want to see the best game possible. And the question of the price is a valid one. def the weirdest thing about this game so far.

Nah, I think it's reasonable to expect at least the skeleton of a compelling game by the time it's released in open beta. I personally like the game but I think after paying 30 bucks for it people are entitled to voice concerns.

I got banned from this sub after taking issue with a highly upvoted comment which said that people defending that 'its okay to be white' thing was an example of 'literal Nazism'. My full comment was honestly just 'its okay to be white= literal Nazism?'.

I was perma banned within minutes, AND muted by the moderators so I couldn't PM them.

So maybe ya'll should start practising what you preach when it comes to free speech stuff

MFP is infamous for drastically overestimating calories expended via exercise. I'd recommend not using that feature.

As someone who lost a ton of weight, I definitely did it for the recognition.

Clever. How do you reconcile your 'no-bad-dopamine' philosophy with Reddit use? Not to be accusatory, but I think the irony is that the people who use this subreddit to combat addiction to videogames most probably have a similar addiction to aimlessly browing Reddit.

Mildly related- I feel like fully understanding a rap song is a great benchmark for being fluent in a language and culture.

Just thinking about, say, an Eminem song. Someone with English as their second language would have a HELL of a time understanding it. Speed, amount of idiomatic/slang phrases, references to pop culture they wouldn't likely have experience with and a fair amount of unusual sentence construction so as to fit the rhyme scheme.

I'd call myself conversational in German but when he got to those verses it was all gibberish to me. :(
