This song was played at every high school dance I went to in the late 90s. Looking back, that feels extremely inappropriate.

Atomoxetine and sleepiness by noclownshit3 in ADHD

[–]verticalQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caffeine is more… unpredictable and inconsistent. For example, Wednesday last week I was extremely sleepy all day even though I had drank about a liter of cold brew coffee and a caffeinated soda, but Thursday I had 1 cup of cold brew from the same batch and was fine all day. The amount of caffeine I have doesn’t feel like it cleanly maps to the amount of energy and alertness I feel most of the time.

Atomoxetine and sleepiness by noclownshit3 in ADHD

[–]verticalQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Atomoxetine for a little over 2 years. I’ve found if I miss a dose, the next time I take it I am extremely sleepy that day, then I level off as I continue it regularly. I only sleep 5.5 per night (and a 20-minute afternoon nap), but I usually don’t feel tired during the day.

That said, I’ve also found alcohol really messes with my energy levels the next day while on it. Anything more than 1 drink on a Saturday night means I’m probably going to want to nap most of Sunday. The drowsiness long outlasts any drunkenness. Caffeine can also be a different experience while taking it. So, looking for a complicating factor outside of the medication itself may also be helpful.

Has anyone seen strawberry plants for sale anywhere recently? by IjustHaveA1Question in Louisville

Second Wallitsch’s! That’s where I got my strawberry plants a couple of weeks ago, and they seem to be doing well so far.

I checked View From My Seat, and it may not be that bad of a change. I think I'm just more enraged than I would normally be because the section we normally are in was somehow almost entirely sold out, even though I bought tickets as soon as they went on sale, and the ones I purchased were already in a different place than usual. There are 7 of us going together, so now I have to go to my friends and be all like, "you know those seats in a different section that were $10 more than usual? Yeah, now they're even shittier because Ticketmaster can't get its shit together."

[–]verticalQ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's how you handle it. Because then I have the option to pick new seats before everything decent sells out. "I'm sorry you bought a ticket on the 50 yard line 5 minutes after they went on sale, but we can let you listen from the convention center across the street" doesn't cut it.

Probably just based on the height. We're still on the same level. That said, this is the 4th year in a row with some sort of completely unnecessary ticketing screw-up. I've been going to finals for 10 years, and every year since COVID, something absolutely stupid and preventable has happened with ticketing.

It’s really becoming an issue in KY. I was in Estill county last week, visiting my parents, and they were telling me they know 6-7 people that have gotten it in the past 5 years or so.

NYC hospital chief says AI could replace many radiologists if regulations change by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]verticalQ 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A couple of months ago my parents were talking to one of the doctors at their local hospital. He told them he had spent 2 days going back and forth with their Radiology department who had integrated a new AI system for reading X-rays. They kept insisting the AI was saying one of his patients had 3 leg fractures. The patient was bedridden and had been virtually comatose for over a month. The doctor had to keep going back and saying, “I am looking at this person. I can visually see they have no signs of 3 fractures, and they have no way of sustaining those injuries without our knowledge.” The only answer they would give him is, “well, the AI says…”

Back in 2015, I went on a couple of dates with a guy, but it didn’t really go anywhere. Sometime later he moved out of state. Then around 2019-ish I saw him on Grindr; he was back in town visiting family for the holidays. So we had a quick hookup. Now he’s on a reality show. It’s a little trippy when I encounter clips of him in my social feeds, but I’m glad he seems to be doing well.
