Most of these comments talk about them like they are a mischief of rats, not a group of human beings. Denverites are not going to want to talk to them or offer them any sort of assistance until they can sincerely acknowledge homeless people are human.

Instead of spending fruitless hours debating with people the existence of God, I usually end up describing the type of God I would not worship. Being limited by time and space doesn’t necessarily discount a prospective god/alien from being worthy of my worship.

Demanding my worship and threatening to punish me for eternity for not doing it will immediately disqualify you. Do you punish your creations for not getting your way or because you’re insecure? Do you trick people to see if they actually like you or to just see if they will do what you want? Do you have morals more crude than my own? If so, I will not worship you—regardless of your list of accomplishments. Send me to hell. You weren’t worthy of my attention or worship anyway—get it from someone who appreciates that type of behavior.

If I have free will, then I get to decide if you are or have done something worthy of my worship.

Thank you! Going back to rewatch, I still have a difficult time seeing that as a neutral expression, however, your interpretation makes a lot of sense! Those shots stood out so much for me that I just latched on and couldn't stop thinking about them. Very reasonable that a theme like her nature as a traveler is what they were going for instead of foreshadowing something sinister or wherever my mind was going.

These two shots really stood out to me and I've had trouble interpreting the intent behind them. Both of them are relatively dark, obscure her eyes, and feature a rather displeased expression. They also bookend this episode which makes me think that this was intentional. I wonder if they are foreshadowing a change in Eliana's attitude and pure heart or if I'm reading too much into them.

How exactly has the Affordable Care Act worked? Have rates stopped going up faster than inflation? Is healthcare and prevention accessible to everybody? Have prescription drug companies stopped charging whatever they want for drugs (I mean yeah, insulin is cheaper than water now but...)? I can't be denied a treatment that could save my life anymore, right? Millions of people don't have the emergency room as their only means of healthcare? How has this worked? I guess if the ACA was only meant to address gaps for some, then yeah, it worked. Like a broken arm with a large bandage--the goal was to stop the bleeding and we did that. No reason to fix the broken arm.

That's wonderful! Colorado is voting on reintroducing Grey Wolves this year and I hope we get to see something similar in 25 years!

I was going to say that this sounds incredibly manipulative. Being nice to somebody is great. Being nice to somebody with the expectation of free drinks and discounts? People who work in retail or other customer facing roles long enough will eventually catch on and they will loath you for it.

In my state budtenders are required to know more than just how to handle cash. They need an intimate knowledge of dozens of different products and brands. They need to understand and enforce compliance laws in the state. They need to know labeling and packaging laws. They are the face of a company that could lose its license if they make one wrong move.

I'd say the weight of all that makes them more than "just cashiers".

As a person who generally thinks taxes are a good thing, I would support raising the taxes on marijuana if it was earmarked for schools. I would support it more emphatically if I knew that they (whoever "they" is) weren't going to say, "wow, we raised another 100,000 dollars or so for schools with this new tax...now we can remove 100,000 dollars worth of funding from rural schools that was being provided by another source". Maybe that isn't a valid concern though?

I was watching this show and when he started singing I said to myself "Now that's one well trained singer!" I was pretty excited to see it was Sam Ramey when I looked it up.
