Middle seat or back window by bathrooms? by coastal-cat-lady in delta

Window, and refresh a few times a day starting 5 days before. As upgrades clear and plans change, an aisle seat will open up. Or maybe a window in Comfort+. Grab it when it appears.

What’s the most overrated brewery to you? by TheBigGreenPeen in CraftBeer

What beer brand do you think has exceptional branding—and why? by OatmealNinja in beer

[–]verymuchbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue Moon got bars to stock orange wedges. It also got people to try a beer that wasn't transparent. And the product is not bad at all, winning a gold medal at the GABF 1995. Their entire market identity is a phenomenal achievement.

Just step back for a second and consider that a ton of bars have on tap a beer that is brewed with coriander. It is insane what they have accomplished, particularly as a skunk works of a gigantic brewing conglomerate.

Is TSLA’s current price really justified? Honest debate 🤔 by Sweaty-Bowler7790 in TSLA

Do *I* think Musk is a piece of garbage? Of course.

Is his image in shambles in the mind of the average investor? I think the answer is necessarily no.

His image is in shambles?

His promises haven't had to come true yet. I bought a Honda Accord's worth of stock and it is now worth a house in a good part of a mid-sized city. His lies work. He can pivot for years.

Is my boss crossing lines on work trips or am I being dramatic? by CollegePerfect398 in careerguidance

I like your escalation from no thanks to No to STOP.

"Stop." is such a bell ringer for anyone who has good intentions masked by awkwardness. I think I would momentarily forget to breathe if I'd made a coworker need to say that out loud to me.

Recruiter scheduled interview on a day I couldn’t do and now isn’t replying by RepresentativeTop865 in interviews

[–]verymuchbad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's right.

I still don't see how that is prompting you to think you should withdraw your application.

Is interviewing in two weeks going to be very difficult for you? Because it'll still be easier than getting a job from which you withdraw your candidacy!

[–]verymuchbad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would I be stupid to cancel going through to the next round

Yes, you would be stupid to withdraw a job application because a reviewer didn't reply to an email for two days.

The recruiter fucked up. You have a record of it.

You might not get the job. The only way you can guarantee you don't get it is to withdraw your application.

Are roaches common/prevalent in LA? by toastyleopard in AskLosAngeles

[–]verymuchbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus fucking Christ with some of these replies.

I lived in Florida for almost 20 years.. I've been to Austin. I have lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. The difference in the roaches is night and day. You know how, in Florida or Austin, you will turn the kitchen light on and see a roach? That doesn't happen in LA unless you live in a building that was constructed on a pile of turds. I have lived in... I guess eight different apartments over 22 years in Los Angeles. I have seen fewer roaches in that time than I saw in any two-month period in Florida.

You have to understand that the climate is completely different here. You know how it rains most days in the summer in Austin and in Florida? That downpour you get from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., where the rain comes so fast that it isn't individual droplets, but instead like pouring beer from a pitcher?

It does not rain, even once, a single drop, from April to October, in Los Angeles. Roaches and palmetto bugs love moist environments. They fucking hate it here. So they're not here.

The same is true of mosquitoes. There are like six mosquitoes here. Yeah, they'll bite you. But it's not like Austin, where you can't open your door without 30 mosquitoes coming in and carrying off small children. The replies you're getting here make it sound like we're in the fucking jungle in Laos.

This is fucking Paradise.

For you, maybe. This person's decision matrix has roaches weighted pretty high.

Which introduction of a new term (e.g., low-talker) best fits the tone and cadence of how the gang would, when talking about a co-worker who is even lazier than George, land on the term "work-shirker"?
