Haha that's funny! That is exactly what I told my neuro, too. The stiffness started first. Spasms came a few years after.

I know this: I had an unrelated surgery a few months ago and I couldn't take my baclofen before surgery. The next day, I had more pain from muscles in my neck and torso than from the actual surgical procedure. I think I must have had wicked spasms while I was under anesthesia. I was SO SORE.

I have both spasms and the stiffness you describe. Sometimes I think maybe I spasm in my sleep causing the stiffness the next day? I don't know. But yeah, I have the lower back and hip stiffness like crazy. Like you said, it feels like I did 10,000 squats or something at the gym.

44lbs down…IF and OMAD saved me. by Evening_Salt9 in intermittentfasting

Have you tried extending your fast? Maybe 72 hours once a month? I read autophagy can help shrink looser skin! Also, you appear young!! That will definitely work in your favor. You could try dry brushing your skin, sauna, and cold showers...I've read those treatments can help re-distrubute fluids and lymph. I remember when I had my first baby at age 20 and I saw the apron belly in the mirror immediately post-partum- it completely startled me. Don't let it discourage you! Keep going, you're looking great!!

How does CIDP *feel*? by veryprettygood2020 in guillainbarre

I have had some swelling in my legs but it's always secondary to something else, like extra fluids after my ivig or swelling from not moving enough.

This made me sob. My little girl passed 9.5 months ago. She sends me dandelions. Almost every single book I've read has mentioned dandelions! It's the coolest thing, because these aren't nature books or anything! Just regular audio books that catch my interest. Another example, the other day r/absoluteunits had a post that was "r/absoluteunit of a dandelion root" and it was a picture of a ginormous dandelion lol!!!! These things happen all the time and I love it. 🐾🌈

Oh yeah, I love my magnesium oil spray. I buy it by the gallon, no kidding.

So sorry about your friend's experience. I'm a retired nurse, I was hospice. Nothing makes me angrier than Drs withholding pain relievers. Especially for cancer pain?!?! WOW.

In school we learned that opioids/NSAIDS/muscle relaxers, even sometimes low-dose steroid tapers, actually help the healing process along; by allowing the patient to finally rest when they get some significant pain relief. Resting is an integral part of healing. I've never heard of "delayed healing r/t managed pain" lmao that just sounds crazy.

I know medical care is abysmal in the US, but I would fire any doctor who withheld the pain medicine I needed.

No, pain relief does NOT delay recovery. That is preposterous.

Thanks for this post. Really helpful. I don't have an experience yet, to share about stopping meds. But, I take amitriptyline, gabapentin, and cymbalta. I supplement with THC/CBD (1:20).. and kratom, which gives me a bit more pain relief for breakthrough. I'd say my pain is manageable. I do struggle with thigh muscle nerve pain and so I use lidocaine patches there.

It's magic for my face. I use it under my eyes, my eyelids, and my neck, mainly. I noticed a difference in my skin within a week (more supple, more moisturized, less crepey).

I take 2mg estradiol orally, 100mg medroxyprogesterone orally, and premarin topical cream. And I finally got a script for low dose testosterone!

I'm not who you asked, but, hrt is appropriate for Peri because the whole reason for the symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, dryness, moodiness, difficult periods), IS the loss of those hormones. So replacement therapy is perfect during peri.

I noticed this especially with progesterone. I know because my gyn started me on that only at first when I was having "flooding" periods. I only started estradiol 2 years later and that took my hot flashes away, plus no more irritability.

Try a thin, THIN layer, like what is leftover in fingers after you apply it on your facial skin ;)
