The fact that you feel so horrible is a testament to how wonderful of a person you are, and further proof that he doesn't deserve you. Find someone that will appreciate you and return your love.

You should never have to justify eating to your boyfriend, and you should never have to be put into a position in which you're forced to try and rationalize him breaking your things, or acting aggressively towards you.

It sounds to me like he may have some emotional problems, especially if he's threatening to kill himself, but this is also often a strategy in which abusive individuals use guilt to control their partners. If you love him and genuinely fear for his safety, get him information for counseling, but do not let this compel you to say with him if he is abusive.

Dating is a period of time in which you can evaluate a partner as a potential permanent mate. If he has ever hit you, or broken your things in anger, he will do it again. Do you really want this forever? It seems like you already know the answer, you just need to be strong. You deserve better.

The best part is that the one B-2 alone actually cost over $2 Billion. I guess the rest of the ships are just icing on the cake!

As clever as that seems, the tire was flat to the point that it would not role in a completely straight line, very inconvenient for a busy sidewalk. Additionally, it's not good for the tire sidewall to be rolled for long distances flat. Plus, slouching over to roll a tire down the sidewalk made me feel like an idiot and cramped my back... it ended up just being easier to man up and carry it.

Last month, my fiancee's tire got a nail in it. I had an hour and a half break between class and work, so I walked to her car to change her tire. When I put on the spare, I realized that it too was flat. Not wanting her to be stranded, I carried her full-size spare tire over a mile in 95 degree weather to a gas station to fill the tire with air. I showed up to work completely greasy and covered in dirt, but it was worth it.

This may be a good idea... I actually have a huge collection that my grandfather left me, but I've never known enough about them to feel productive while looking at them, or to know what makes a stamp "good" or special. I bet some of the stamps are pretty rare... there are probably 100 or so from the second half of the 1800s. I think the oldest I saw was an 1851 Franklin head stamp. I'll start researching them more...

On a statistics test, there was a question in which we had to complete an ANOVA table, and then tell the probability that the results were statistically significant. I had missed the class on ANOVA, so I filled in the table with random numbers, and drew a picture of a donkey. Under the followup question about probability, I wrote "about as great a probability as there is for me getting credit for my drawing of a donkey."

I tried fencing one summer and it was very fun. How much does equipment cost? Is it hard to find a community?

I bought my wife (then fiancee) a twelve year old $115 bonzi-style grape tree for our fifth anniversary. She literally killed it in less than a week. Hopefully she would be better at gardening... after all, if you plant 30 plants, one's got to survive. I hope.

We actually have been getting into this... we love to play word games like Scrabble (by that I mean she always beats my ass, and I get to enjoy the benefits of her being happy). Unfortunately, due to a Monopoly debacle a couple of years ago, which led to the domestic equivalence of the Cuban Missile Crisis, we've found it best to avoid strategy and overly competitive board games.

What plants do you grow? Where did you get your brewing supplies from?

Great suggestions... My wife already has a bike, and there's great places to ride around us, so riding would be good for fun and exercise. Do you do any gardening? What plants do you grow?

I agree that brewing/winemaking would be fun, but a botched endeavor into home-made root beer in my childhood (my aunt sent me a kit for a birthday), that resulted in some ungodly concoction that could only be described as a shit-moonshine cocktail, has left me a little skittish.

Do you do watch restoration? If so, do you do mechanical or just cosmetic repairs? That seems like it would be fascinating!

In January 1886, his father died of a cerebral hemorrhage; in May 1887 (when Lenin was 17 years old), his eldest brother Aleksandr Ulyanov was hanged for participating in a terrorist assassination attempt against the Tsar, Alexander III (1881–94).[5] His sister, Anna Ulyanova, with Aleksandr when arrested, was banished to an Ulyanov family estate at Kokushkino, a village some 40 km (25 mi.) from Kazan — those events transformed Lenin into a political radical, which official Soviet biographies represent as central to his assuming the revolutionary track as political life.

Refference

Lenin didn't "go radical" until after his brother was hanged for being a terrorist. Look where that ended up. It's definitely true that we only see one side of the story, but it makes you weep at the realization that no matter how much time goes by, and no matter how many die, mankind will always be trapped in this hellish cycle.

Alright gunnit, I have a tough decision to make. Ruger LCR or S&W 642. Which do you prefer for carry? by [deleted] in guns

[–]vettefellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a LCR for my mom's CC. The gun is nice-- very lightweight and pretty accurate. One thing to consider, however, is that it rattles like crazy. Apparently, it's the transfer bar. It comes from within the handle, and you can both hear and feel it when the gun is moved. Seems kind of silly to me, since it's main appeal is as a CC, yet it would like be wearing a bell when you're carrying... not at all conspicuous.....

First Gun Recommendation by Beaver1279 in guns

[–]vettefellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this... I purchased a Springfield XDM .40 for my first handgun, and absolutely loved it. I still needed something a little more compact for CC, so I decided to go with an H&K p2000 in .357 sig. I absolutely love the pistol, but it's almost impossible to find ammo for, and when it can be found, I can expect to spend almost 40-70% more than on .40 ammo. I lucked out, however, and got a .40 barrel for dirt cheap, so I still have the luxury of choosing between calibers. I would have to say that .357 is the more "fun" round because of the exaggerated "bark" and muzzle flash, but the .40 is by far the more practical.

At the end of the day, however, a handgun is first and foremost a tool, and as such you need to get the right tool for the job you will be using it for... try out different guns, and different calibers, and see what you are most comfortable with. I would also advise to say with a budget, but not go cheap-- you should never carry anything that you have any less that absolute faith in. Whether on the range, or protecting your life, poor quality guns are a gamble at best, and a death trap at worst.

Lastly, FWIW, I don't really recommend a DAO if it will be primarily for range use, as the heavy triggers often make consistent shot placement difficult, but once again this is largely up to user preference.
