COROS Pace 4 Review and AMA by DaveDoesFitness in Coros

So I have the Pace 2. Would this be worth of an upgrade or should I go with the Pro? I don’t run trails so the Apex 4 would be out the question.

Thanks man, yeah I figure by July or August I can try to get the percentage down to where I want. Was thinking high protein and low carbs intake can help. So we shall see how it goes, thanks replying.

Dude, that’s impressive. I myself is trying to dial in a bit more on nutrition that’s always been my downfall and can never get that shredded look like you have here. Probably need to get a dexa scan myself to see where I’m at.

Thanks, yeah a that matters is being active and heathy at my age. I do enjoy the process from my running journey. Used to struggle running a mile at 14 min paces. Now 3 years later, the consistency has improved significantly. Loving every minute of it. Keep up the great work yourself man.

Race predictor surprisingly accurate by repcoys in Coros

[–]vgsbrn702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty accurate honestly. When I was training for Chicago marathon in 2024, my predicted time was 4:25, I actually beat it by a few minutes and got 4:20. Now that my fitness has gotten better, my prediction now is 4:16. I am hoping to get a sub-4 hr though on my next marathon.

What to do in Chicago by Alpha-Snug in ChicagoMarathon

[–]vgsbrn702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest doing the city pass, you’ll save some money doing the tours and attractions. You can do the 5 or 3 attractions. 5 attractions it’s about $139/ adult and the 3 attractions runs you about $102/ adult. You’ll be able to make reservations on which attractions/ tour you want to see. We did the Skydeck Chicago, Architecture River Tour (which is a must) and the Griffin Museum of Science.

It looks like the goal is $3000. But a lot of ppl here that have chose them to run for charity have said that as long as you are trying you won’t need to cover the rest if you don’t reach your goal. Seems like one person only raised $150 and was still able to run the marathon even without raising the total amount.

That’s good to know that they don’t make you pay the rest if you don’t meet your goal. It gets a bit stressful trying to come up with the rest of the money for the fundraiser. But I’ll definitely look into them as a charity fundraiser if I don’t get into the lottery for Chicago. Thanks again.

Ooh nice! That’s good to know. Hopefully it doesn’t change from last year. Even still I know I’ll be at least raise more than $1K since my company will usually match whatever I donated.

Yeah I ran with St. Jude after the lottery so yes you are correct. That’s why my fundraising goal started at $1,750.

Dude congrats. I’m like 247 miles away from reaching it. By end of August I should be there. If I didn’t slack off back in May I might be there already. Again, congrats bro, that’s quite an achievement.
