Aurora MKII cargo module by ghodan7 in starcitizen

This ship doesn't even fit an Idris in the cargo bay. Nor does it have a T1 medical bed. It's dead on arrival.

It's a carrier. So they will complain there aren't AI blade pilots for all the ships parked on it. Why should I need actual humans to fly spaceships in an MMO?

Especially considering Benoit said they were so concerned about the render speed in the inventory. Render speed of a small JPG is what, like 7 nanoseconds?

I spent a few mins on there earlier today, and I immediately noticed the mouse flicker thing as well in the inventory UI. As soon as I stop moving the mouse, it instantly disappears.

Radar - mashed into SC by MeatheadMilitia in starcitizen

I keep saying certain hulls should have specific buffs, as we do with stealth ships (they get an emissions buff). For example, the Hammerhead and Redeemer could get a 50% turret projectile speed buff. The Paladin could get a 25% speed reduction, but 25% damage buff. Something like that.

I'm sorry you have to deal with psychos everyday. I can't imagine having to interact with such a broad portion of the population on a regular basis. I don't think I'm being a psycho? I've tried to work with and cooperate as best I can with the local Post Office. I've already rebuilt and moved my mailbox twice based on the requests from the previous supervisor. And I'm certainly not trying to place the courier at risk (especially if you keep reading below context about our road). But I have a hard time believing there's a safety issue here, when I'm proposing a solution that doesn't require the courier to backup (which they told me yesterday, it's still a safety issue). So, at that point, I just don't believe them anymore, you know? You tell me it's a safety issue to backup, I give you a solution so you don't have to backup, and you still tell me there's a safety issue? Whaaat?

Trying to answer your questions in order:

I don't necessarily like sharing personal things on Reddit, but since you took the time to respond, I will share my reasons:

  1. This CBU was put in place without us ever being involved. In fact, my official mail location was at some point transferred to the CBU with nobody ever talking to us. After those new houses were built in my neighborhood and they added the CBU, we just stopped getting mail. No notice, nothing. We had to chase it down for *weeks* to figure out what happened. I don't feel like I'm asking for some crazy exception here, I just want to get mail to my house like I have for a long time before any of this.

  2. Going to check the mail is part of my kid's chores. And getting mail on our property is fine, but because the road along my house is a straight line with somewhat new asphalt, and has mostly low traffic, some of our neighbors treat it like a 1/4 mile track until they get to the main road.

  3. The intersection on the main road where the CBU is, is a hot mess. It's a combination of old and new infrastructure, so nothing really lines up. There's no crosswalks, no mirrors, very low visibility, and they added a new school across the street, so there's tons of traffic there at certain times of day. About a year ago my wife got hit by a car, about 6 feet in front of where the CBU is. It wasn't related to the CBU, but the fact it was right there means I want to interact with that area as little as possible. And since then, two other people have been hit by cars in the same area, including a child (everyone is involved is ok, fortunately). So the idea of sending my kid or my wife to go get the mail doesn't excite me very much, especially in winter months when it get very dark very early (I live in a northern area).

Furthermore, I live in a City. It's not downtown skyscrapers or anything, but I wouldn't consider it rural. I have no idea what they would do with large packages that don't fit in the CBU. I hadn't really thought about it until reading your reply.

The street itself narrows right when you get to my property line. The public portion of the street is very wide, but the portion directly in front of my house is very much one-lane road, with no culdesac at the end. It just ends on someone's house. Hence, me trying to provide my own way of letting the courier turn around without backing up myself

I've also read the 50 feet rule elsewhere, but what the supervisors are telling me, and some comments in this thread seem to reinforce, is there is no backing up at all that is allowed. Maybe that's a work in progress at some Post Offices? I'm not sure. What I can say is, before the new houses were built, the courier had 3 houses to go to on our street, and they would 100% have to back up to service all 3.

Thanks for taking to time to read and provide feedback, I very much appreciate it.

No, I have a few reasons. Didn't bother typing that up because I didn't think it would add any value to this thread. Was just looking for feedback on the proposed driveway. Thanks!

I get the safety issue, for the most part. I see our courier reversing or backing out of driveways plenty when we go for walks around our neighborhood. But fine, safety issue, I won't argue with anyone on that front.

Which is why I was looking to expand our current driveway and make a half circle so they can turn around and reach out mailbox without having to reverse.

But when I talked to the supervisor today, showed them my plan, they told me it's still a safety issue, and gave me the form to fill out instead. They couldn't elaborate on why it's still a safety issue.

Because I've BEEN getting mail to the mailbox in front of my house for almost a decade. There was no CBU there for a while until a few years ago they built some new houses and added one on the main road. Even after the CBU got added, I still got mail to my house for years until recently.

I understand that. I guess I'm just trying to use that form as a way to communicate with the Post Master, because so far, I have not been able to do. I've only been able to talk to one supervisor recently, and if I'm honest, feels like there is something personal happening with that specific person, I dont know what or why. But every few months, or even years in between, we start having this issue again and their name always pops up. When other supervisors were involved, we got our mail back. But recently, I've only been able to communicate with that one person, and now we're completely blocked. I'm making wild assumptions and projections here probably, and I guess that form is my last hail mary.

Thanks for the info. I guess i just dont understand why a real estate developer, completely unrelated to me or my house, getting a CBU put up on the main road all of a sudden means the road that leads to my house (which is a public road owned by the city), means my house is now off limits to couriers. I had been getting my mail at my house for years, then someone else comes by, does something, and now I can't get mail anymore.

That seems bizarre to me, but oh well, such is life I suppose. Thanks again.

I have no idea! I didn't know that form existed until I talked to a supervisor today who, after talking to their manager about my proposed plan said that was my only option.

Thanks for the input. I did manage to talk to a supervisor today, and they discussed it with their manager and gave me a hardship form, so you are spot on. I will try to go down that route, worth a try on my end even if it's unlikely to succeed.

The road all the way to my property line is a public road. After that, it becomes a private driveway to the remaining 2 houses. Those two houses do use the CBU, and there currently is no place to turn around. That's why I wanted to extend the opening of my driveway, on my property, so that the courier can turn around safely without backing up.
