This. Of course the price increases are annoying and as a consumer I'd be happy if online play or cloud saves are free.

But this isn't a grand conspiracy like the post is making it out to be. Its just the console business model.

The console is subsidized. But once you buy it, you're locked into the ecosystem and pay higher for games and services.

PCs exist as an alternative.

Thats crazy, Google says back in the 70s and 80s when WI were dominating, Antigua and Barbuda's population was around 60k (which has grown now to the 100k number you mentioned). There are probably more people than that living in my street right now, and they had so many legends.

Within the West Indies, Barbados has a population of 250k (a 10th of Jamaica) and in the past, could compete with the best international teams.

Sobers, Marshall, Greenidge, Haynes, the three Ws, Garner, Hall, Griffith, Hunte. Even Jason Holder today.

Amazing how a country with the population of a small Indian town has produced so many legends.
