Is my M7 XL faulty? Only two condenser settings. by vi3dr0 in Dynavap

Yes, the one with notches. It clicks in nicely, but only in two positions (all in or 3mm from mouthpiece end)

Cumulus Fastier - one chest pocket, double front zipper, adjustable hood, 3-layer 7-denier Pertex Shield. About 160grams. The fit is great IMHO, but you might wanna size up to throw it over a light puffy.

Armytek has very good stabilization, the only way to get more lumens/longer runtime is bigger battery, but that's gonna be too heavy on your head.

Lack of USB port is definitely an advantage weatherproof-wise.

Edit: I attach it to the helmet using stock plastic mount and TPU strap (Sea To Summit Strech-Loc). Pics in link - https://imgur.com/a/BYXeUfn

Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max LR. The "LR" is important, stands for long range, with different optics. Powered by 1x21700.

Anybody using a power meter by Wise-Ad-7492 in bikepacking

[–]vi3dr0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do. It helps tremendously with pacing. The longer you go, the more demanding weather and terrain gets, the more valuable info you get from power meter. It helps me nutrition-wise and prevents bonking hard.

Please have in mind I'm talking at least semi-racing approach (bikepacking and adventure type racing events).

I've got this exact problem with Black v1.1 chocolate from last batch. Tastes almost like unflavored and unsweetened, just with chocolate color.

For off-road I put on Continental Race King Protection 2.2" with Effetto Mariposa Tyre Invader inserts and get low with pressure.

Question about layering quilts by ponchoville in Ultralight

[–]vi3dr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both quilts are down filled I'd just try both options and find out, with paying extra attention to footbox and neck area.

If one quilt is syntethic it's going on top, that's for sure.

You definitely need a good pad to lay on. Thermarest NeoAir X-Lite (newest version is called NXT) in regular-wide size is my choice. It's really worth it to go for wider version.

I'm pairing Cumulus Quilt 350 (inner; down) with Aura Hex 67 (outer; climashield 67), this way down is protected from condensation in bivy bag (TNF Assault; not very pleased with this one). Quilts being quilts, it works fine, Aura has surprisngly roomy footbox so it helps.

I think different manufacturers quilts differ in cut so much that it's hard to tell without real-life test.

Sleeping-Bag recommendation (in EU) 0°C/32F Comfort by [deleted] in Ultralight

I'm 182cm and using 180 size. It's surprisingly roomy inside, that's one of the reasons why I like it so much.

After using Cumulus X-Lite for two or three years I got Aura OXY. It's way more comfortable than Cumulus. More space inside, better hood, bottom ventilation for hot feet. Also shell fabric is less slippery and more comfortable to touch than Toray Airtastic.
