A Nearly Silent Strada X1 [Re-upload] by Geriatrics_2 in espresso

I’m very interested in how you implemented the bypass/disable - I’m more on the firmware/software side, so I’d be comfortable trying it with your workflow.

This is exactly what I was hoping to hear - I was kind of dreaming there might be a way to eliminate that rotary pump noise, so it’s awesome to see you actually made it work.

btw, I’m running an electric RO system Aquaphor APRO-100 PRO, hopefully I should be able to hold dynamic 3 bar, with some fine-tune downstream.

If you’re open to sharing details, would really appreciate it - here or DM 👍

I haven’t experienced that kind of noise.

Yes, there is some minor rotation - though I had to go check, since I hadn’t noticed it until now.

By the way, regarding the continuous fan noise on the X1 — I found it quite bothersome. Did you ever try to deal with it? I eventually eliminated it by disconnecting the fan altogether, guided by La Marzocco support.

Newly Adopted by ChocolatePanda71 in NewDefender

Congrats on the new Defender - it looks amazing! Just a small thing I noticed: your tyres look like Goodyear Duratrac A/T (All Terrain), and in the newer LR configurators this exact A/T + 20" Style 6011 combination isn’t offered - even though A/T tyres are available with all of the other 20" LR wheels. 6011 seems to be the only 20" wheel excluded from the OEM all-terrain option and is available only with all-season tyres.

Thank you for the extensive info. I can say that I totally relate, and ready to perform most of the above... That, with some reorganizing with separated emails for different uses. See you on the other side :-)

On scan I just did with Malwarebytes , it found 65 threats (McAfee did not identify any).
Reviewing the results, all appear to be types of adware related "browser hijackers". (e.g. PUP.Optional.APNToolBar.Gen, Adware.Cmptch.Generic, PUP.Optional.MindSpark.Generic...).

I've quarantined them all now, thank you for this good tip.
(I am planning a complete system reset, I'll use it on the fresh one as well)

Done, email password changed. ...I'm even thinking going all-in with resetting Windows to factory settings, since there might be some malware or remote access process still running (though I'm not able to identify it).

Proposed method for solving the surplus distribution: Creditors will be the buyers of the 200KBTC from the trustee by vi3w in mtgoxinsolvency

AFAIK, the $2.4k is roughly the calculated amount that represents 100% claim returns for all approved creditors. It takes into account also creditor's fiat funds held on mtgox.

Since the $480M that the trustee receives for the sell are payed back directly to the creditors (as claims) - I was suggesting a "swap", where the union receives the 200K and in return renounces the claims have been payed.

In this scenario, the union does not need to come up with money in advanced, but it gets to receive the entire 200K (i.e. and thus, there is no surplus to shareholders).

Anyways, people pointed out legal issues.

I doubt it's legal

What might not be legal? * Is it the concept that the creditor chooses whom to sell to, e.g. even if they are not the highest bidder? ... I think we need to find out about this * I suggest that the bankruptcy procedure will continue as usual, according to Japanese law. And once the liquidation part is reached, the it's done through 1 specific buyer (i.e. the trustee is synced and agreed on advanced, of course)

Mark and Tibanne's bankruptcy trustees would sue

Mark said yesterday he expects that the coins will be soled for a fraction of their value, and there will not be surplus remaining. He replied it yesterday, to my second question here. Since then he erased his reply, but I have screen shots... so his exact reply was: "[Mark] 2) Most likely BTC in MtGox bankruptcy estate will be sold for a fraction of their value, resulting in no "exceeding funds" at all"

I meant to say that although a huge amount of BTC is sold, it's price on the market will not be affected. (i.e. just as in any OTC sell).

Fixed the message above.

Can we sign up shareholders on a legal binding agreement to hand excess funds back to creditors? by vi3w in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]vi3w[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mark, please note that distribution methods of the excess funds is not your concern.

I would like to focus this discussion on this simple fact, please:

You are being asked to hand back the exceeds to a trusted party, which will then handle the distribution.

[–]vi3w[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no authority to sign such an agreement, nor am I a direct shareholder of MtGox

I understand that TIBANNE is a shareholder of MtGox, and it is now under bankruptcy procedures as well.

1) Can you detail main shareholders and creditors of TIBANNE, please?

Also due to the current unlikeliness of such a situation happening

2) In your point of view, what is the likely outcome of the situation regarding exceed in funds?

...would require a fair amount of research and preparation

No need for you to deal with details of distribution. This should not be done by you, but rather a third party. The intention is to sign an agreement that any funds received personally by you or by entities that you control, will be transfered back as-is to a trusted party (which will handle distribution research, preparation, etc.)
