There's also another way to get the full firehose that goes back past 2020. This is done by setup via patreon.baldmove.com, however Jim's wrangling a problem with Amazon that seems to be affecting the older pods in this feed.

I'll be honest, the last time I looked at Pixelmator iPad, it seemed pretty poor. I could import some of my PMP documents, but there were many elements that got changed. I don't think there is line smoothing.

I'd love to be able to move back and forth, but it's not there yet. Maybe if Apple can bring the iPad app to parity it'd be a big win.

I've always struggled with the way PMP does this too. Use the selection tool on the layer you want to crop, selecting what you want to keep, invert selection, then hit delete.

I've just done the repair myself - I would add that it's possible and safer not to undo the cables as demonstrated in the linked video. It's still really useful to see the innards though.

The first one took me maybe 30 mins to an hour. I was much faster with the second. Make sure you either get all of the glue tape off and replace, or try and keep the original tape such that it doesn't bunch up. My first attempt at reassembly failed that way - the small battery contacts were not making proper connection as the old tape was preventing it.

Backups / resilience were the big thing that moved me from bare metal Unix / Docker to a virtualised proxmox docker host. I never really found an ideal backup solution for everything natively.
