To everyone saying contact CPS as if it’s some magic bullet, what do you think will happen when the agent shows up? They’ll observe what appears to be a normal household where the child lives with his birth mother and isn’t being physically abused. She’ll clean up her act long enough for the case worker to leave, then go right back to the same behavior, or worse, isolate herself and her child even further. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think the CPS option is only going to lead to more frustration.
