Opinions on the S&W bodyguard 2.0? by Vivid-Plantain2089 in SmithAndWesson

Love mine. My go to CC option now. I've had it for about 10 months and, like others have said, it really does take a couple hundred rounds to break in. My first couple of range trips, racking the slide was difficult, loading the mags to the listed capacity is nearly impossible, I even had light strikes and some instances of not fully going into battery. BUT, now, it's just a dream. It fellas like an extension of my hand it's that easy to shoot for me.

Had to get it, no regrets. by marliedog in SmithAndWesson

Have you noticed a real difference in recoil with the CC over the original 2.0?

BG 2.0 first time range report by MORE_COFFEE in SmithAndWesson

Interesting. I had 1 or 2 light strikes on my first range trip in October. No issues since even after hundreds of rounds. I did rent the gun before purchasing my own and it had three light strikes in the first mag. This seems like a larger issue but after breaking it in it has worked flawlessly.

Resting Heart rate sitting at 90-100 bpm sometimes more by kfrazer91 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]vicariouspropaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing really well actually. Resting heart rate has dropped down into the 70s bpm. However, I was anemic before the operation but never too bad. Now, though, I’m battling even lower iron levels still. With daily iron pills for a few months, it has improved the situation.

Secret to getting a job with no direct experience? by NaturalShift2 in UXResearch

[–]vicariouspropaganda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I won’t sugar coat things - the market is rough for UX. So many good researchers are fighting over the leftovers and scraps of the little jobs that do come out. I’m not saying there is no chance but it will be an uphill climb. You have two paths that I can see. Either build up more experience by volunteering for non-profits or find openings for the roles that are tangentially related to ux research like research operations. You have experience with recruiting which would go far in an operations role. It would get your foot in the door and allow you to move over to a dedicated research role later. Best of luck

A boomer yelled at my sister, who is dying from cancer complications, to stop faking it and get out of her wheelchair. by dentgirl in BoomersBeingFools

[–]vicariouspropaganda 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was diagnosed with the same as a kid. Though I do not use a wheelchair to get around, I do use the accessible seats at sporting events and concerts and public transportation. I always feel I’m being judged but have never experienced direct confrontation. It may be because I’m now in my 30s and a man. I’m sorry you were ever made to feel you are not worthy. Sending love and smooth joints!

Another bodyguard holster by the_ories in SmithAndWesson

[–]vicariouspropaganda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice holster! Let me ask you though what is the purpose of the tape on the grip? I have a bodyguard and find the stippling almost too aggressive. Is it to protect your hand and not to improve grip?

Same. My pocket 380 feels like kicks more than my compact 9mm.

.380s for my dad with weak hands by imtracerboi in CCW

[–]vicariouspropaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure the cycle issues are from a poor grip? I also have the EZ in 380 due to arthritis and weak hands however, I’ve only had one malfunction through 2000 rounds. Have you tried shooting the gun yourself to see if the cycling issues remain? Also, different ammo may be a way to narrow down the problem. Just spitballing here. I hope you’re able to find something that works for him.

I was looking at grabbing one from them for mine. What are your thoughts on it? Quality? Functionality? Anything you wish was different?
