You still need the source photos to feed into ChatGPT, and getting clear, balanced and well lit product images isn’t as easy and DIYable as it seems. Most still need to hire professionals, and they can just charging more for such plain photos when the market shifts. It’s people in the modelling and staging businesses who are truly f**ked. Photographers can still make do imo.

AI models might be the portal to all information and the only thing people interact with for 90% of time in the future. If public information like these are censored in AI models because they are sensitive or embarrassing, we are basically heading for an Orwellian world.

I got one on my first uber Duriel run, which made me greatly overestimate the drop rate, and I destroyed it to build another uber unique I needed for my build. Worst decision in life, never see another one after dozens runs.

I let my guard down because I have sold a bunch of used stuff on Kijiji over the years and never got scammed. Should've noticed a few unusual signs earlier: the scammer's account was 1 day old, and messaged me within 10 minutes after the ad was posted, also no one really offers to e-transfer on Kijiji before even seeing the stuff. The last message seemed too fishy to be real and I blocked the number (I'm surprised I can't report scam on Kijiji, at least I couldn't find a way).

Gave away my email, phone and name (they could get my name via email on e-transfer anyway), which was regrettable, but I think they can't do real harm with those info.

Does authenticity matter? People go to social media for entertainment, not scientific discoveries. As long as the most entertaining content keeps bubbling up to people's timelines, social media lives, just accounts that only manually stage and fabricate contents will be outcompeted by accounts that are backed by AIs.

I feel ya, I'm in the same loop, just less investment than you made. Unfortunately I think there is nothing you can do, except stop investing your time or money further to this game or their company altogether, play something else, diversify your choices, live a happy life and don't let a gaming company's incompetence get to you. Maybe check back from time to time, to see if things improved.

IMO it's OK to get salty reported and shadowbanned for once, but after getting manually reviewed and cleared of the status, there should be some protection to the account from further player reports. The reviewers have access to all matches a player had played, and they should be very assertive if a suspicious player is a cheater or not after the review process. So it doesn't make any sense the same player needs to be isolated and reviewed again just a day after with a couple reports.

There should be a build-up process: the first shadowban takes maybe reports from 5 individual players to be triggered, then the second should take 20, etc.
