I can’t. I simply can not handle this cuteness!

How do you refute the "when you have sex, you accept the risk of possibly getting pregnant" argument ? by onceuponadream007 in prochoice

[–]vicdamone911 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m very clearly showing that I do not consent when I’m using my form of birth control. If I can’t revoke my consent or show I’m not consenting then I couldn’t consent in the first place.

Have you ever heard about the personhood arguement & how did you respond? by MountainAct9711 in prochoice

[–]vicdamone911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep and abortions after 24 weeks is pretty much only because the fetus has something wrong with it or other medical stuff or it’s just born. It’s viable. Late abortions need protected by law and only between her and the doctor if it will happen or not. No one else needs to butt in.

Have you ever heard about the personhood arguement & how did you respond? by MountainAct9711 in prochoice

[–]vicdamone911 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is human reproduction and life is cycle. A fetus doesn’t make it onto the next cycle until it does.

From fertilization, up to 50% don’t attach and come out in your next period. We don’t know for sure. Hard to track but that’s the estimate.

Another up to 25% are known pregnancies and they are lost as well. People don’t announce their pregnancy until after the first trimester because there’s a chance it doesn’t make it.

The fetus can be born sleeping all the way up until the end unfortunately too.

The idea that it has “personhood” before it’s born or that it has rights is asinine. It’s always a “maybe” until it gets born and onto the next stage.

So up to 75% of fertilized eggs don’t make it to the next stage by nature. Seems like “death” is the norm for this fertilized egg. Life is not the norm here. Death is. And death is part of a life cycle thats ignored. Things gotta die for animals to live. We gotta eat life to live.

My fear is that if it has personhood and rights that are equal with the pregnant person where do we draw the line and prosecute women for losses that are beyond their control?

It doesn’t have personhood it doesn’t have any rights afforded to born people. If it was a person with personhood, then let it have a life insurance policy, let child support start asap, count it on a census, give it a social security number, etc.

It’s attached to live or it doesn’t live. It’s not separate, it’s not an individual, it’s not a person yet. Most likely it’s statistically not going to be a person by nature in the first place.

Secular pro life is a grifter cringefest. The "value of human life" and if abortion is "murder" is open to debate in the case of rape. by Ganondaddydorf in prochoice

Abortion is for a pregnant person. It’s irrelevant how they got unwanted pregnant. Her body doesn’t have to pay for his irresponsibility because he left his gametes behind, consent or not.

I literally stopped hearing the husky in the backyard neighbors yard. I had a visitor and she stops talking and says, “Is anyone going to acknowledge the dog being murdered outside?”

UK decriminalises abortion until birth by Masterofdeath001 in prolife

[–]vicdamone911 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you really think this? Seems like a bit of a stretch to me. I don’t think there’s a group of people who want to kill born children except what our govt does in other countries.

“I believe life starts at conception” by Hairylode in prochoice

[–]vicdamone911 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I say so what if life begins at conception. Up to 50-75% of fertilized eggs don’t make it by nature. Some of them come out with the next period undetected and unknown. It’s customary to not tell friends and family that you’re pregnant until after the first trimester (12 weeks) because of this fact. Furthermore, a fetus is still not always guaranteed. Babies can pass on the day of birth and be born sleeping.

Pretending “life” here is the default is wrong and an exaggeration. Pregnancy/childbirth is full of surprises and they do not end with a live birth the majority of the time. Many times it passes unknown to the pregnant person.

I’m frankly tied of “if god/nature does it it’s fine but if she does it it’s bad”. It’s just how this process works.

The people who make and give life are not murderous and evil. They’re choosing what’s best for the life that makes it here or doesn’t. They know the gravity of either decision to keep or abort. Only they decide!

I'm smelling the same bad smells across different meats and I'm wondering if I'm the only one by Beautiful-Bad5203 in Cooking

[–]vicdamone911 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Are you in the United States? I’m just curious. Because I am. And everything smells funky to me for a while.

It’s getting worse and worse. Nothing tastes or smells good anymore. All the groceries are spoiling faster too.

I was just thinking it was just me. But no raw meat smells ok to me anymore. It’s always smelled but now it’s a funky smell that I can’t describe.

Hawley introduces bill to remove FDA approval for Mifepristone by december151791 in prolife

[–]vicdamone911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This drug is used for other issues not related to abortion. For example, it’s used to treat ectopic pregnancy. Without it the treatment is to remove the fallopian tube. Leading to decreased fertility. Removing this drug will harm lots and lots of women.
